I am sure I have seen at least one of the trucks in one of the videos, I think it was a white one, without flares.

I'm "in line" for a TRD Pro at MSRP. I placed a fully refundable deposit about 2 months ago and everything is written on paper so that there is no ambiguity. I think the only model I'm willing to pay MSRP for is the TRD Pro. Seems like Gen 2.5 TRD Pro's were going for MSRP anyways.

The dealers are going to have a field day when these start to arrive. Worst time to buy any brand vehicle.

I have bought all of my Pros at msrp. If it would have been more. I would have walked. I don’t have a problem either. But dealers are not your friend. It’s all about numbers just like me.

They do- at least on the TRD trims that’ve been the only ones pictured AFAIK. The SR5 TRD Sport is paint matched body color.

Again when they are color match much better !

Another thing on the list to swap and get rid of the typical Toyota hodgepodge of colors on that platinum I have my eye on

I thought hybrids have a locking gas cap requirement or something. I saw the gas release on a few models.

MSRP from Toyota is 53,500 for crewmax, everyone is predicting mid to high 50s. They will keep this design for the next 15 years and make alot of money. Like I said they can mass produce the frame which are on other vehicles and the engine also it's on a global platform hence why it's a fully box frame and the reason why they ditch the tri-tech frame because it can't be on the land cruiser. I think Mike swears in one interview said about the power generator and the reason why they didn't do it and has to do with keeping price down and also most people wouldn't need it. It's not a raptor competitor so why would it be in the 60,000+ maybe I'm wrong but MSRP I'm predicting below 60,000 but dealer markups is a whole other story.

But the new TRD Pro is crewmax only so you can't use the DC msrp. And MSRP with destination is $55.1k. 3 dealers I've talked to expect 65k. It could be under 60k msrp but it depends on what is standard vs what is optioned.

Really, how many are jumping on ship with Toyota for this vs how many are jumping off ship?

To all of you saying this is going to sell like crazy, to whom? Who is Toyota stealing customers from, maybe their own Taco, Sienna and Camry sales?

You don't think this was big 3 execs response after they saw that Mike Sweers and Toyota had dumped the 5.7L, the 4.30 rear axle, and completely removed a V8 option in their 1/2 ton pickup with no HD option to move loyal customers into:

SR5 with TRD off-road package at the end with the smaller screen, hopefully they will offer the bigger screen in the SR5

Get the right tool for the job, if ford or gm fits the job you're doing, then get it. If you have it in your mind that you really need the new tundra, then go for it, just make the sacrifices necessary to haul or tow what you need to. Or do what I did, and get an older diesel to tow and haul. My 7.3 has an 8ft bed which is great, especially for plywood, and I think 3.5k payload and 15k towing, but I haven't looked at the numbers in awhile, I paid 5600 for it in 2015 and it was a one owner truck, mint condition and garage kept. My tundra is my DD, and I pull my 30ft 8k camper with it to work all over the country. It does fine. Anything heavier and I'm using the 7.3.

Noticed in the Truck King video the Tacoma bed cleats are now featured in the Tundra. Does anyone know if they’re the same capacity? They definitely look smaller (and plastic)

I can't keep up with the thread so forgive me if this was answered but any idea on what the payload capacities would be on a Double Cab SR5 4x4 upgrade package truck with either engine? What engine would you guys pick for towing? I personally tow part time and its going to be mostly towing my Camaro. Payload is a big concern for me cause we tend to bring other stuff on towing trips. EDIT: Which is why wife and I were considering going to an HD if new gen payload numbers were still low.

It looks like sifting through the posts that the payload will be a couple hundred pounds more in the 200lb range or so. Somewhere between the current tundra and other current 1/2 tons.

X2, that screen looks much cleaner in the dash like it's meant to be. The 14" looks like an afterthought to me.
