That 3.5 engine is used whether it's the hybrid or the non-hybrid. So total capacity for hybrid and non-hybrid would be 216k. And that engine plant would likely have to supply the Sequoia too.

The Pro is for off-roading, not for towing. That's why it's leveled.

The rear seats are set higher if you get the hybrid. The host was 6’1 and he was awfully close to hitting his head. It was one of the videos posted.

Is the ls500 and new lexus LC going to use that plant too? Probably pretty small #s for those though.

It sounds to me like you’re just over complicating it. Yes there are different packages. But again, the max payload for a 2.5gen 4x4 crewmax Tundra is 1560lb. That’s the barest of bare bones with absolutely zero packages. It is missing all the features/items I listed previously that your Limited has, and some of those are pretty heavy.

Payload is gross weight — curb weight. Gross weight for a 4x4 crewmax is 7200lb. If your payload is 1240lb, that means your truck weighs 5960lb with a full tank of fuel and nothing else in it. “Occupants and cargo” is the language used on the door jamb. Not “occupants and cargo minus the driver and fuel weight”. Payload rating does not account for a half tank of fuel or a 150-lb driver. It accounts only for the truck itself as optioned with a full tank of fuel. Your door jamb says people and cargo cannot exceed 1240lb because that would put you over 7200lb.

The pro is for towing more, going faster, and looking cool. The Tacoma is for off roading.

Don't bother starting a thread here asking why your Pro is "squatting" when you hook your trailer up to it.

I think that is incorrect, it is not level if you go look at it again it has some rake to it. The TRD pro gets a 1.1in lift in the front so maybe 0.9in rake

Did anyone catch this? Forward to 25:00. Talks about having 32g fuel tank and being able to go from Ann Arbor to Traverse City in Michigan which google says is 240mi. That means 7.5 mpg fully loaded… that’s pretty good considering I get that on my 2021 towing 6k.

You have to leave atleast 4 gallons in reserve before the fuel light comes on. So you don't run the fuel pump dry. I have a 26 gallon tank and my fuel light comes on actually at 21 gallons or so. So possibly 9.6mpg is possible with the hybrid.

I hope y'all don't actually think a 1.8kW Hybrid is going to help improve towing MPGs

Too bad. That would have made it a world-beater for sure. I can't understand why every pickup truck cheaps out on that, especially when every entry-level car and crossover has one.

I don’t see a finger cutout. That leads me to believe it has a lock mechanism.

Not sure - one photo I saw a gas pump, typical for a fuel door release, then another it looked like there was a bend in the fuel door to open with your finger like the current gen

Different for some, for me it was tendons popping. I did break my wrist pretty bad and had some of it replaced.

2022 tundra TRD pro MSRP 56,000 to stay competitive but dealers markups are going to be no joke though. They can make the truck cheaper because the frame is a global platform..
