Yes, I mean more from the outside, seems the roof line/overall truck height is at least several inches lower.

It's their production philosophy: The Toyota Way. We tried to copy it at one of our production plants (Freightliner) and failed miserably. Under their philosophy any one person on the line can STOP production if they see a problem. Essentially even the lowly employees are empowered with judgement when quality is questionable. It's much more than that also but beyond the scope of this post.

I think he meant if the turbos have water running through them. What you posted is a air to water intercooler for the charged air going to the engine.

Love the interior. The placement of the battery on the hybrid engine completely removes the storage compartment underneath the rear seats that was created because the current tundras doesn't have any storage. They can put v8 bi-trubos on sedans but not on this truck cmon man!!

Those dont work for me. Images are broken.

Edit: Ah, thanks! Not a fan of those wheels at all, but love the rest of the look for the SR5!

Edit edit: Hmm its an SR5 with TRD option. Dang. Just wanting to see plain Jane SR5.

Love that color as it looks in those pictures, but I think I've seen that color irl and it looks much darker in person

I think the new GMs have an air dam that comes down at speed and they still have tow hooks.

I think what someone said before makes sense (too lazy to search for it). These are prototypes so the final product will probably have tow hooks

So it seems like TRD sport package is the only package with body color bumpers, it's only on the SR5 too seems weird.

Thats what Toyota said in the pressroom release is the only trim that gets TRD sport is the SR5. Maybe they figure out people hate chrome and paint match all the TRD trims..

He has an opinion like you do and has every right to be here.

Probably should read the Code of Conduct if you haven't already.

I think you missed my point. I don't care if he's here and he can say whatever he wants. He just doesn't seem happy about the truck so why not post in a forum where he can feel good, not bad.

Maybe… but that’s a big assumption, right? “Alright team, we’ve got two months until launch… let’s get those tow hooks added.” The cheap plastics make sense but I feel like frame mounted tow hooks should be done by now, no?

its seems every truck I see needs a color matched grill. That chrome around that green truck looks awful

I didn't miss it. Would it be better to complain about the 2022 Tundra in the 2.5 gen subforum? Let's keep the 3rd gen bashing/praise in the 3rd gen subforum.

Wear items are things like tires, brake pads, serpentine belts, etc. It's a pretty standard term and I thought everyone knew what it meant.

Yes, everything will eventually wear out if it's used long enough.

Looks like alot of body panel cutting and sensor relocating if you want to add steel bumpers...

I guess I just have a different view on mental well-being. I'd rather spend my time commenting on things I enjoy so I'd tend to visit the forums that help me experience that instead of hating on something I can't change, and all I was trying to do is convey to him maybe he'd be happier doing something along those lines. But whatever. Let's get back to talking about the truck, shall we?

I think I like the 1794 more without the TRD Package. To me, I think the key to making this thing presentable is by having everything the same color (grill and handlebar mustache)
