Rentals really do make sense. Why buy a gigantic SUV needed for one big whole fam-jam trip a year when the majority of the time a Corolla/Civic would meet daily transportation needs? Save a ton of gas and maintenance costs, no worries re aging domestic suv reliability, not to mention the sticker price. It takes a LOT of rental bills to equal $80k-30k.

This logic doesn’t of course apply to Tundras due to their inherent superiority and corresponding pricelessness;)

Check out Wikipedia. I'm sure Toyota had a hand in creating the wikipedia content for the Tundra.

If you break your brakes, then you won't catch any breaks.

You should go and take some pics for us. They always look different than the press release pics.

As I've stated before here, my hope is a longer wheelbase option for Sequoia like a Suburban/Yukon XL/Expedition MAX.

I strongly believe it will be both. The SNF is more like a nationwide announcement with a 30 seconds ad, but it will be displayed at the auto show. In between, you'll see all the auto journalists talking about it on their respective forums /websites and youtube channels.

this most likely has been posted before and if so I do apologize in advance. So the new full size Bronco seems to have some issues and now they aren't shipping to dealers. guessing Toyota would rather be safe than sorry.

Wait, Ford owners are surprised at having problems with a new model?

No wonder this country is such a shit show nowadays.

They just had brake pedals that could fall off, other than that it's the common airbag issues and other electrical issues. Or the 3.0l diesel has a few recalls on that engine, big one causes fires as well.

Funny that while I was looking into the recalls they had an extremely familiar one - floor mats not being installed right. Barely heard about it. But when Toyota had that issue it was a massive lawsuit and throttle pedals had to be cut. So many wonder why Toyota takes a very long time to test their vehicles before release - that is why. They cannot have the small issues like the big 3 have without fear of lawsuits.

That was a bullshit claim. The floor mats had NOTHING to do with that issue. My wife had a camry and it would LURCH even with the brake pedal pushed down hard. They tried to blame people for having installed their floor mats incorrectly (kinda idiot proof if you ask me). It would do it with ALL of the floor mats out of the car. It was a computer issue, PERIOD. They lied and tried to cover it up.

While you're probably correct, I did have an issue one time where the floor mat on my 2004 Tacoma slid up and over the gas pedal, but under the brake pedal - so the gas was being depressed, and if I hit the brake it wouldn't fully depress, and would actually depress the gas pedal more. I was on an open road, so I just reached down and pulled out the floor mat. This was before the floormats would latch into place, so I just punched a couple of holes in it, and zip tied it to the chair frame.

Seeing as the recall and the lawsuit was specific to the floor mats you had a different issue. And if it was a computer issue wouldn't far more vehicles have that issue? The solution for the lawsuit was to cut the throttle pedal - no ecu flash of any kind.

We found one dealership that would take the Camry in for a trade-in. They had a full lot of probably 200 Camry's just sitting there just waiting to be sent back to somewhere.
