I just want to know when we can unpack the specs and options on the website. Interested in the TFL review, not so much on a 30 second halftime commercial.

Is the new Tundra going to be built in Texas? If so, and they are revealing it during an NFL game…did the Texas Chamber of Commerce miss an opportunity to reveal the truck during the Thursday night Texans game?

2 more posts to go until I qualify for 2021 secret Santa…if the rules are the same as last year….

Does anyone know what the fuel economy for the 2022 Land Crusier is ?

So far, all I have heard, was that it was as bad as the 5.7 V8 LC200.

But, that was just a reviewer from Russia, I believe. And it was in km/l, and they didn't show the V8 vs TTV6 side-by-side.
I am going to guess, that the Tundra TTV6 behaves very similarly to the Ecoboost TTV6, unless you baby it, expect V8 economy.

If we get a Hybrid Tundra, that'll be a different story. I'll try and dig up that LC300 review.....

    Found it: https://www.motor1.com/reviews/526928/2022-toyota-land-cruiser-first-drive/

"twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 packing direct injection. But the advanced engine is still a thirsty thing, gobbling up premium fuel with gluttonous abandon. Where the Land Cruiser 200 sucked down 15 to 20 liters of gas every 100 kilometers, the Land Cruiser 300 is no better. Even the addition of a ten-speed automatic can’t save the new model.

Of course, the V6’s two turbochargers aren’t about efficiency, really. And each dollar, yen, or ruble Toyota invested in this engine pays off when it comes to motivating a 2.5-ton SUV. With 479 pound-feet of torque at just 2,000 rpm, the Land Cruiser can jump forward briskly, humiliating smaller “sportier” crossovers with a 6.8-second sprint to 62 miles per hour."

I'm hoping it's gonna be a bleached out white truck with white rims and white sidewall tires. That would be badass

Based on what has been said the release will be at halftime, but since the game starts at ~8:20 that puts halftime at ~9:30. So TFL and most likely other journalists will be releasing details well ahead of the release during the game. And IIRC the Mike Sweers podcast releases at 500am Mountain Time, so you East coasters better not spoil it for us out west who like sleep :boink:

What 12” inch lift would you recommend on the ‘22 TRD PRO? I would like to run 42” tandem tires and wheels.

At least the DCLB survived based on those pics!

Old Tundras never die, they just get scooped up by classic aficionados that know better.

More interior storage would be nice. Not that they would have to add a lot to have more than the 2014-2021’s.

With all the well coordinated and orchestrated hype, it’s very tempting to get sucked into wanting one, but reality is it’s like owning a super computer for doing your text documents and emails. At least it would be for me. The TRD PRO hybrid would definitely be the epitome of unnecessary but so cooool!! If I do well selling my business over the next few months I just may go for adolescent joy of being able to say, hey look I got one!! Then sell it after realizing it’s too expensive to run the shit out of it.

As much as I want a 25mpg, Hybrid, TRD Pro.
I really need the 8ft bed for my side business.
I constantly struggle with the 5.5ft bed for doing jobs. But it’s only 2-5 times a month right now, doable. Just a pain in the arse to load tools in crewmax cab then materials in the bed.
Plus...I’m realizing a Platinum Pro is too nice of a truck to use for side work...‍♂️
