Anybody else notice the headlights? Seems like they have stacked LED headlights. Between that and the LED bar, it should be putting out a lot of light.

I'm not sure, might be a trick of the lighting/angle but originally the first pic showed the fenders flattened out after the crease on the last horizontal body line. Looks like its actually sunken in now.

Biggest foul is the squared off angle at the rear of the cab.

That and it will probably be made of even thinner materials and construction than the latest 3rd generation models are.

The PRO color "inferno" was used in 2015. I still think they are coming out with something unique and completely NEW that they've never used on any of their vehicles for the 2022 PRO color

A lower truck to me does not look as mean as a truck that sits higher. 2WD sit lower. The red double cab sat low in my opinion, thus making me think it's a 2WD.

I thought all the 07-21 2wd and 4wd non-Pros came with the same leafs and coils, which would make them sit the same. Not sure I accept the dodge talk forum’s answer for a tundra.

2wd might actually be higher due to less weight by having no transfer case or front diff.

We don’t know about the 22 yet.

Tundras are all the same (OEM) - there is no significant difference between 2WD and 4WD. Actually, since they use the same suspension but the 4WD is slightly heavier due to the front tranfer case components, the 4WD actually sits slightly lower (if you want to measure in 1/16th" increments). You can check the leveling threads where people talk about their rake before and after leveling difference and even though there is a range of rake measurements depending on fuel tank size and other factors, often the 4WD models require slightly more lift in front than the 2WD to level it.
Again, miniscule differences, but if anything the 4WD might be lower than the 2WD.

Just sold my 2015 Tundra so I am really hoping the new Tundras out by the end of this year. Have had my name on 3 dealers "List" for a few months now. I test drove the Ford F 150 Eco-Boost Hybrid truck recently and was really impressed with the power but just can`t drop more $ on a Ford than a Toyota TRD Pro. In the mean time i`ll keep driving my 2002 Tundra that still drives great with 250,000 miles. :)

I'm in the same boat. Sold my truck anticipating the 2022 release, and now I'm hearing that it might be Jan-Feb before local dealerships will be getting allocations. I'm on 3 lists as well. It's frustrating, especially when you NEED a truck. 20210912_133938.jpg

Best photo yet, better angle, better lighting. We can now actually see some of the contours of the sheet metal. I think this body style is going to look better, in as much as a pickup can look good, in lighter metallic colors like silver that let the light play off of the angles.

I wonder if buying a 2022 is going to be a matter of ordering what you want and excepting MSRP? Seems there won’t be trucks just sitting on lots for a long time.

I believe with the new design you will be paying msrp or more for the 22. Also even the Pros maybe marked up at most dealers where you can still get a Pro months back at msrp. It’s all a waiting game. And if someone don’t like the price someone will come along and buy it.

I'm thinking when the 22 ever hits the dealer, they will be grabbed up quite quickly. Very quickly......

Welcome to the forum. Those are flares. Take them off and you are color matched. If you want color matched flares, they will be available, if not OEM then after market.

TFL drops their full Tundra vid @ 9pm Est on the 19th. Then another at 5am Mtn time with the lead engineer on the 20th, then more info during their Monday live video.

If you go to the Yota website, under the red one there is 134 at the end of the text. Click it and the fine print says this model will be available March 2022 and all other models Dec 2021.

I set a reminder in my calendar for the Toyota announcement on their web site. I can get to TFL's just by going to their website.

But, where do they have links to their Monday morning podcast with the Toyota engineer and is their live Monday thing there also? looked and didn't see them

Reveal is a separate vid from Engineer vid. One will be on TFL OFFROAD, the other is TFL TRUCK. I don't know which site for which day.

Can't remember which site has their live show.

My sentiments exactly. I actually think the new Tundra looks pretty good. Even the limited. Perfect? No. Would I drive it? Hell yes. To be honest, even if it was the ugliest bucket of sh!t on the road, it'll STILL be my next truck. Who cares how good something looks if its a liability and stays broke and busted. I'm over the big three. For good unless Toyota starts producing junk. Side note for all the people that thinks the front end looks too long, I always thought the current gen looked way to short :boink:
