Looks like a space themed roller coaster ride with those red seats. I'm curious how they will look in person though.

One thing I’ve learned over the years bring in business is that you cannot please everyone. Most plans and ideas are centralized around the 80% majority. With the remaining being considered outliers. A majority of consumers love sunroofs, especially the pano. So I am sure this is Toyota’s strategy as well.

No, I think rich red Corinthian Leather should be an option, in fact it should read exactly as stated in the brochure and on the Monroney Sticker. I also want optional leather bound books, and an optional in cab fragrance dispenser of Sex Panther cologne.

I enjoyed this take on Toyota’s strategy for new product and product release. He’s pretty well spot on, and Toyota is employing the same strategy for the Tundra.

As someone who has gone seriously off road in Ford work trucks, lockers mean shit unless you're rock crawling. The rear locking diff barely gets used. Try it in 4hi, get stuck, try locking it, still stuck, put it in 4lo and no locker and out it goes. The locking diff is so far down the list of effective parts that it's funny to see so many get all twisted about the Tundra system.

I beg to differ. When I had my 4runner I got it stuck several times hunting down old logging roads jeeps like to rut out during the wet months.
Granted, I was still on stock tires because I'm the guy that bought a brand new trail premium and 2 weeks later barreled through the woods.
Twice the locker saved me. First time was on a cut around of a giant mud hole. There were 2 deep holes that just so happened to line up perfectly with the wheelbase. I was going around them but it'd rained and I slid in them and stopped. 4 hi, 4 LO didn't make a difference. All I could do was sit in place and spin. Once I finally got the locker to engage I pulled right up.
Next time was in a water-filled mud hole. The ground around made it look like it had a gravel bottom but it turned out to be good ol sandy tn clay. I went in, started spinning, and came to a stop. I could move a little back and forth but not enough. Hit the e locker and out I went.

LOL I mis those car commercials. As a side note here is no such thing as rich corinthian leather. it was a genius marketing tool that has stuck through the years.

I had to go look the commercial up.

Pretty funny comparing a Chrysler New Yorker to a Mercedes-Benz or Rolls Royce.

I am now searching Autotempest for survivor cars with the vaunted “Corinthian Leather” upholstery. Believe it or not there are a few out there.

This guy has never seen the new Land Cruiser and seems quite full of himself without reason. He also seems to have a problem with bogan's while trying to play the part of a bogan himself. None of his video even makes sense other than he likes to talk.

Not much different from many here who like to type!

I've only watched a couple of his videos and judging on what I've seen, his schtick is simply bashing everything. That is a working strategy though, since negative reviews get a lot more attention than positive ones.

I have no problem with a person bashing everything but posing as a down to earth country boy while talking like the queen, pinkey out and all, while bashing "bogan's" which are Australian red necks comes off as a huge miss. He uses many words to say nothing. He comes off as being very sour grapes.

My issue with the video, funny enough, isn't with the video itself but with the people who take the word of a YouTuber's opinion as gospel. Sure there are facts sprinkled in there but they soon follow up with opinions. So, yeah, I agree it comes off as saying nothing.

    What vehicle?
LSDs don't usually "break" they slowly lose their effectiveness as the clutch packs wear. Most people don't notice it as it is very gradual, and if a person typically doesn't drive in such a way to expose one wheel peel, they'll likely not realize it.

Is that a newer Tacoma? They are marketed as having an "Auto LSD" which is basically a variant of A-TRAC where the ABS system is used to limit one-wheel-peel.
It is typically understood that "LSD" usually refers to clutch-based differential. However it's not totally false to call certain systems "LSD" but in this case the Tacoma has a normal open differential (and possibly an electric locking mechanism) so it's not the differential that's "limited slip" it's the braking system doing the function.

Lsd is a vague acronym, they don't necessarily have clutches a torsen lsd is gear driven and won't wear over time

Gen1 Tundras had two Eaton LSD rears available. One was an Eaton but made specifically to Toyota's specs for the TRD OR package. The other was a basic Eaton clutch pack LSD optional on any trim.

Gen1 Tundra did not have A-TRAC so the rear LSD was a good thing. I think there's plenty of high mileage Gen1 Tundras with an Eaton LSD still working fine.

Full-time 4HI Torsen transfer case will be popular if Toyota deigns to release it to the Tundra peasants. 2nd Gen Sequoia has it, 5th Gen 4Runner Limited has it, even 4th Gen 4Runner V8's had it. Surprising to me the Sequoia that shares the Tundra drivetrain gets the Torsen but not even optional on the Tundra.

Anyway, hopefully the next Gen will have Torsen available on both Tundra and Sequoia. Very nice system. Heck, the 4th Gen 4Runner V8's were full-time 4HI only, no 2WD, you have either 4HI or 4LO. Very reliable.

Yes, Eaton makes TruTrac, which is gears, and I believe some refer to these as "HLSD" because of the helical gears. A really good option to clutch LSD especially for trucks. HLSD works awesome with ABLS/ A-TRAC systems because the clamping of one brake can increase the torque biasing of the HLSD, meaning the ABLS/ A-TRAC can use much less brake force to trigger the differential to begin transferring torque. I believe the Eaton TruTrac is a 3.8:1 torque bias.

His comments on the new Land Cruiser are no more valid than anyone else’s, his comments on Toyota and their marketing roll out are 100% spot on. The rest of his content, yeah he hates everything and everyone.

2007, this truck has the clutch style LSD. Guys with the “auto lsd” hate it. That’s a different animal I have no interest in.
