Interesting concept. Looks like a CyberTruck missing a chromosome or two though.

    Confirmed. Definitely a v6 and entune 4.0.

Is it not illegal to drive around with that crap all over the truck?

You can tell by that picture because they didn’t take exit 5. A v8 would’ve had to stop for gas.

I dont think a v6 could push those dumbo mirrors at highway speed on a windy day.

Well in my 2 sec of googling, yes I found it was illegal. Some said it looked like ca. Here is the code for ca:

    26708.
    (a) (1) A person shall not drive any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows.

Sure looks to me like there is material placed upon the rear window. If hanging an air freshener from your mirror is illegal because it obstructs your view, then I’m pretty sure that is too.

I guess google works under rocks.

I guess the manufacturers pay off the law or something so they can get away with it since they all do it.

No way! Kalifornia has a law about this? I don't believe it. :frusty:

I'm sure there is also some rule that manufacturers who are conducting on road testing of future models are allowed to disguise the vehicle. Also I'm sure that vehicle has not even been crashed tested. So there is that. No matter what the "rules" are this has been going on for decades and they never get pulled over.

And if they all jumped off a cliff, would you? Still sarcasm.

Good lord you people are getting your panties in a bunch for a sarcastic comment I made. I could care less if it was illegal.

Only thing I get from this is they clearly do not want anybody to see the rear end of this truck. My guess the rumors about suspension are probably true. As far as one of the Prius motors in the back for electric assist/take off it would maybe be plausible.

As far as engine goes, who knows...... I would say there is a good chance it could be a smaller turbo charged power plant. Just can't deduct anything from these photos....

Lloks like a $68k truck to me. Everyone better be ready for it!!!:)

The last time I recall a Japanese auto company re-doing a fantastic vehicle with a loyal niche following, and being very secretive about it, it was a total disaster. Back in 2012-2014 Infiniti was very secretive and kept delaying the new release of their BMW 3 series fighter, the G35/37. It was a sought after sports sedan from 2003-2012. When it came to taking on the 3-series, it was legit.

The all new G series was suppose to be the next step forward, and due in late 2012 it got delayed, there were rumors, and spy shots. When it was finally released, it was way more Altima, and way less 3-series fighter.

Toyota isn't Nissan, and I hope I'm wrong, but this feels like history repeating itself. I fear if Toyota had something legit in the works, it would have been released a year or two ago. I fear that Tundra, like the G-series, is in the process of alienating the niche market that it has and releasing a giant disappointment. Hope my feeling is wrong.
