More power and better fuel efficiency are not mutually exclusive for hybrids anymore.

I sure hope they address the frame rust issue with this new platform. They have let that issue go on for way to long now.

I’ll guess better mpg, and extending the ttv6 torque range and the increase in hp that comes with it.

You are correct. 2014-2021 is merely a facelift. In the forum’s defense, they probably did it for thread organization. Having three sub forums covering 7 model years each makes more sense than one with 7 model years and one with 15.

I can’t imagine it would be too hard to change the 3rd and 4th gen subforum headings to 2.5 and 3rd gen. Some thread titles would prob need to be changed, too (like “What did you do to your 2.5 gen today?”).

Imagine if there is a mid-gen refresh in the 3rd gen in a few years? Surely the forum wouldn’t start calling that the 5th gen, right? o_O

You only drive 6k miles per year? That's amazing (and hard to believe). Also, I doubt anybody is going to sell you anything at 88 but a reverse mortgage and overpriced jewelry on HSN.

Yes, I'm sure some idiots will - as I said, "nobody in their right mind". And yes, not really an apples to apples comparison.

What is it about my personality that compels me to prove to complete internet strangers that I'm not a liar? Many people use their truck for towing and hauling and something called a "car" for going to the grocery or liquor store . My 2004 Tacoma had about 85k when I sold it in 2016 but I did use it for commuting to work which accounts for high mileage. Want to see the odometer on that one too? I have the pic somewhere.IMG_20210625_214527168.jpg

I love that all those poles are bashed forward, lol. True story, we vacationed in Moab and I counted on buying liquor there instead of bringing it with. There was one LS in the entire town and it was closed because someone had run through the front door. The only alcohol available was a place that distilled their own vodka. So I drank vodka.

    The End

If that's your daily driver and you're only driving ~16.5 miles per day, good for you. Most people aren't nearly that fortunate. People bringing in fringe examples as if it's some sort of valid argument is silly. They're arguing just to argue at that point.

As I mentioned, when someone throws out a fringe example as if it's the norm, they're arguing just to argue. You're dismissed.
