I saw that too (the headrest height), that pic (rendering) is worthless but it did make me hope they dont have us sitting on teh floor like the tacoma since those headrest are so low with what looks to be a chopped top.

ok toyota, next teaser, a real picture of the truck not a CGI or whatever that thing is

    A bunch
Using the F150 it's a difference of 500lbs between the EB and PB. They're just over 2100 lbs last I checked for the PB, 2600 lbs for the EB for volume crew cab configuration.

Ok....I love my V8, but I am looking forward to the new TTV6 and what it shows us for performance. I also welcome the better ride that should come with the new rear suspension; and the new infotainment system has to be a significant upgrade to what we presently have.

At least both "OH SHIT" Handles are back. like the placement of the front tweets. My OCD probably can't handle that red stripe on the steering wheel not being straight. But I'm sure the Platinum and Limited won't have that and thats the model I'd be buying anyway.

Im with you on the better ride, otherwise Im done with the tundra.

I guess as I have gotten older and the roads have gotten worse, Im done with the 3/4 ton or worse ride.

my ram had about the same payload but rode WAY better, Im confident the rear coils will provide improvement.

I have a 2016 1794 CM. I'm not saying it compares to a new rear coil suspension, but I got a huge ride improvement after installing the TRD Pro Fox suspension.

I have to be honest - either I'm missing something, or I got a gem. I'll agree that the Ram rides way better than my Tundra, but it rides way better than the others as well.

Meanwhile, I have friends who have both the newer F150s and GMCs/Silverados, and all of them are surprised at how well *MY* Tundra rides.

As I’ve told my kids from the time they could understand what I was saying , there is only 1 race and that’s the human race . Doesn’t matter what colour their skin is or what size they are or what sex they are . Everyone is equal and should be treated as such .

I for one am pretty pumped on this. I think it looks awesome and can't wait to see what the Platinum/Limited trims look like. The rear coils will most defiantly soften up the ride....and as long as Toyota puts at least some sound deadening material around the cabin most of my complaints with my current truck will be addressed. As I have gotten older I to put more emphasis on a soft quiet ride as my truck is my daily driver as well as weekend toy hauler.
I am digging the red interior on the pro pics...can't wait to see the entire interior with all available configurations available. Only thing I don't like is the faux carbon accents on the Pro but I am nitpicking at that point. I will most defiantly pull the trigger once they are on the lots and supply is ample as I am not going to pay extra to be the "first on my block".

I live in the middle of nowhere in Missouri down a few gravel roads; they're pretty crap here too. But yeah, I know what you mean - find me a truck that has a 'fantastic ride' and I'll find a road that 'disproves' it. LOL

    Agreed on it being subjective.

I never entertained a F150 but almost pulled the trigger on a AT4 before I bought my current truck and that thing rode WAY smother than my Platinum. And the Ram was another level above the AT4 but I have had a bad experiance with Ram on a 2015 and can't see myself giving money to FCA ever again. I would actually be driving the GMC now but they were a fresh release at the time and I wasn't paying a premium price for one....so I stuck with the one I know kinda thing.

I know of quite a few backroads that you cannot get comfortable on. Either it's too stiff and you feel every bump, or it's too soft and you end up floating down the road feeling out of control (or going so slow you get nowhere)

chicago land roads are a species among themselves never to be traveled by an unloaded truck, LOL.

total shit, I get axle hop like a mofo without the sand and bed bounce on some of the concrete highways, the sand also helped that.

I had to up it to 160lbs per side or two of those big tube sands per side.

Easily done - there's a stretch of the interstate near here where the concrete section length seems to exactly match the compression/expansion rate of shocks/springs. I'll grant that it's the best-riding truck of them all, but that road sucks with ANY vehicle.

Worst was my old '95 F250 7.3L. I had to slow down to below 60 or my head would literally smack into the headliner - with the seatbelt on.

Yep, I'm originally from that area (Riverside, Evergreen Park, etc.) and you're right, I'll take a sh*t gravel road over a sh*t paved road any day of the week. It's insane.

Wouldn't know, mine is 2wd. Doesn't snow here so no need for 4wd on the road. I own tractors and such so if I get stuck around my property I just yank myself out with a tractor and move on with my day. If I wanted to offroad I'd buy a Jeep or something, not a pickup truck. That's just me though. I was disappointed with how poorly the Tacoma pulls at its rated capacity (or even far less) but I'm used to pulling with 3/4 tons/modern 1/2 tons that are rated for 10k+ so that's partially my fault. I originally bought the taco because I was commuting 100+ miles each day in a truck that got 15mpg and it just felt wasteful... turns out the Taco isn't all that much better even though it's far far less capable. Even worse when you put it next to a 2.7 Ecoboost.

Anyway all of this is why I'm excited for a TTV6 Tundra. The benefits of Toyota (good resale value, decent reliability) + TTV6 fuel economy/power.

Yeah, those suck. I don't care WHAT the hell truck you throw at it - they WILL ride like @$$. LOL

But this being said, agreed with twolf - I'm not at all saying Tundra ride quality > all others, though it sure as hell rides better than my '13 F150 did. I'm excited to see what the new '22 will do. TTV6 economy/power, Toyota reliability, better media system, better ride quality? Yes please. :)
