I had a 2016 GTI that had the "upgraded" "Fender" system in it. Prior to 2015, VW used "Monsoon" branding.
Turns out those cars used the same speakers, made by Panasonic. I found it ironic that Japanese-branded speakers were re-labeled with a brand known more for guitar amps and then used in a German-branded car.

OEMs just buy the rights for branding these days.

I would love to see the Tacoma with a little better towing capacity, better back seats like the Tundra instead of the stripped down rear seats that looks like what's in a cargo military plane, a redesign so you don't feel like your sitting on the floor and your sitting higher, and a more powerful V-6 and Turbo if need be would be an awesome Tacoma and needs to improved, and would be the first to buy one as the Tacoma is well over due for some more improvements that would blow away the completion!!!

I bet we'll see a turbo 4 Tacoma next. Can't be any worse than the current 3.5!

Turbo 4 hybrid I'm sure for 4runner and Tacoma. I hope they do right on the 4runner but I've got a bad feeling it's going to be soccer mommed

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
A turbo I4 would be an improvement over the sport sedan engine currently doing duty in the Taco, at least the turbo 4 would make decent torque. Toyota will do that but chop the roofline down an additional 5" though, so that way no one but short statured people can fit in one.

Is the used market starting to shift?

A 2020 Platinum is up for sale down the street and they want way too much but I was curious how far off current trade in would be. That 2020 Platinum on carvana and zoom only got 42/44k. Far cry from the 54k they are asking.

Did it to a few SR5s and they were way down too. A few months back it would be even or carvana would be higher.

Just basing that on the trend in Tacoma rooflines and headroom. Toyota seems to not want those over about 5'3" to be comfortable in one, next they shall try to rule out anyone over 4'9".... 11-12 year olds.

Are you suggesting that I should carefully consider the useless posts I make in Internet forums?

That is just un-American. This is an Internet forum, we don’t do intelligent things here!

We should all be Americans. Anyone who 'identifies' as someone else can move back to their home country/continent.

Well…… there’s so many type of Americans and it’s not wrong to put what kind of American you are. Then there’s lots of non American people living here trying to be American both legal and not legal from all countries of the world not just Latin American countries like I’m sure some people think on here. Just cause someone’s culture isn’t like yours(generalizing), doesn’t make them less American. Also, all nationalities have short and tall people. Not just Asian people. But before this thread gets locked out over stupid shit. Let’s get back on topic. Like I would buy that lime green tundra and slap some 37s on it and it would look sick AF.

Yup. I have a 2011 Kia Optima that Carvana offered me $11275 for last week. I just ran it a minute ago and it's now down to just over $9800. It shouldn't even be worth $8k but like all of the other phenomena going on right now, it peaked and we're starting down the other side.

So how much heavier will the TRD Pro be due to the hybrid battery? Assume that the battery weight, will in turn, reduce payload capacity? So we get extra torque from the electric motor to haul more stuff (and improved towing), but we can't carry as much weight in the bed due to the extra battery weight? I know little to nothing about the new hybrid design so I'm just trying to put things in perspective.
Edit: I assume the new TTV6 will weigh less than the 5.7L V8, so maybe this offsets some of the hybrid battery/motor weight? Guess that makes the non-TRD Pro trim models even lighter...

No, because it's my wifes car, it's what she wanted and she works full time from home so it rarely gets driven (the Tundra is the family car). I haven't seen a Bronco in person yet so hard to say how I'll feel about it, but I was really into it when it debuted and that has completely worn off by now.

Demand may have started to shift on them since the masses (not just enthusiasts) have seen the 2022, its not unusual for sales/demand to drop quickly after this. Those prices on Carvana etc are adjusted weekly if not daily based on very current demand information. So it is not surprising.

Back to the new truck, I think the low looking roofline from the interior shot is an optical illusion created by the tease camera angle. Look at the headrest height in the official exterior. Look at the space above them. The roofline being as low as is feared would put the headrest between most people's shoulders. Toyota may or may not have pleased everyone with the exterior, but they're interior ergonomics aren't going to be THAT bad.

My only beef, with the limited picture I've seen, is I don't like screens that protrude from the dash. I like seamless integrations like the F150. Granted the Toyota isn't as extreme like the new Explorer Platinum or something. I'm looking forward to their full 360 interior shots.

My wifes 4 cylinder equinox could flat tow a f250 too..

I own a Taco, they pull horribly. Don't get me wrong there are some positives to the truck... like uhhhhhh the fuel economy (oh wait an Ecoboost F150 gets better fuel economy and has way more power) uhhhhh the massive 5 foot bed???? the transmission that everyone tunes because it doesn't shift like junk stock??? the fuel pump recall where the fuel pumps are backordered for months???

    wait I got nothing.
