The so called "crowd" that loves it without the full specs loves it for a variety of speculative reasons too.....just sayin. You keep lumping those here that don't care much about the new "look" are against new things is ridiculous.

yeah the only car not going for MSRP is the F150. I have a custom built lariat that a dealer quoted me $5k discount + $1k rebate today for the order + any rebates at delivery.

my Toyota sales already said I could put a deposit for the new Tundra. I need to see Tundra interior pics first . It needs a pano roof and at least an outlet plug in the cab or bed FFS.

So you think Toyota didn’t get any input from current Tundra owners for this new Taco Grande?
No man, this was designed around current owners and other full size pickup owners.

im one of those. I buy on looks. Some features I can live without which is why I’d consider the 21.

I’ll be the first to admit my truck will be a pavement princess. I don’t care about payload or towing capacity. I just like the utility and ride height/ feeling.

That looks like what I'm gathering also. That gives me hope for a full sized Sequoia. We've been holding out for the next gen Sequoia for a really long time. We just couldn't purchase a 2nd gen, we hated it. We almost purchased a Yukon but after our good friend lemon-law'd his second one, we pulled out. And since our 19 year old Sequoia won't stop running, we're not in a position where we have to buy. A full sized Sequoia with LC capability would be a dream.

I expect a smaller fuel tank because the trend across the segment has been to chest beat over numbers for payload, towing capacity and fuel economy. Toyota can pick up to about 200 lbs just by offering the same size tank as the competition. Evidence says they are offering the same engine and gearing as the competiton, why not duplicate the same measly fuel tank as well.

I appreciate that you you consider better mpgs around town more important than mpgs when towing. I don't, my primary concerns are towing efficiency, range, and reliability.

There are quite a few posts about people not wanting a bunch of tech.

My wife had a 2006 Lexus RX 400H (a 15 year old car). Insurance was about $600 for 6 months. I just got her a 2021 Lexus NX 300H. Insurance went down to $450 for 6 months that's a savings of $300 a year.

I called my agent and asked him what changed. I was afraid they forgot to put in some kind of coverage. This was a new car the other one was 15 years old.

He said it was all the Tech in the car. So just for the drop in insurance I want all the tech I can get.

For example I had to drive to Orlando on I-4. I put on the cruise control just outside of Tampa and didn't hit the brakes or turn the steering wheel for 2 hours. When we got into traffic the car slowed down and even stopped. It speeded up and stayed in its lane even on the curves. This was all new to me I have a 2007 Tundra and 2007 Lexus RX 400H, they don't play that.

Even better I was cleaning my car out in the driveway and left the door open. I went into the house to get something and backed my wife's NX out to do the windows and clean it up a little. I started backing up and it was beeping like it always does because the stuff in the garage and garage door are so close to the sensors. however when it was half way out the car just stopped. I couldn't see what was wrong because the side view mirrors were folded. I finally got out of the car and if the car hadn't stopped by itself i would have backed into my open car door. She would have yelled at me for weeks :(

    You are correct.

Loving it based on styling and speculation is where the “love it camp” is at right now too.

I am ambivalent at this point without actually seeing specifications. Although I find the 2022 less ugly than the current truck, cosmetics are dead last on my list of priorities when choosing a pickup truck. The new truck is kind of ugly, and the old truck to include mine is also ugly, so I guess right now it’s a tied game of ugly trucks.

Great point! Every one here has likes and dislikes. Some folks here wouldn't touch a new model year anything. I had an 07 DC and was trouble free. This new Tundra will be well received overall and Yota will sell every one of them. I simply dislike posts that deride opinions contrary to what a certain member dislikes and lumps those dissenting opinions to be against new things. Nonsensical.

I didn't mean to imply that you had called anyone stupid. I apologize if that is how it came across. Others have made that comment in this thread, and I was just mentioning that it's silly when the item at hand is purely subjective.

The current Tundra already pulls like a mother-phucker. That's not the issue they need to address. My truck pulls my 6k lb TT with ease. They need to improve payload and efficiency. I want to safely put 800 on the bumper and another 700 in the bed and cab.

Anybody pulling more than 8-9k should be in a 3/4 or 1 ton. I don't care if your F150 is rated to pull 12k lbs. It just doesn't work for a 6,500 lb truck.

I agree. The biggest complaint by far here on this forum over the years is hands down......payload. Hopefully finally addressed this go around.

    I don't have an F-150, lol.

and pulling like a mofo is absolutely going to need to be addressed, the line of MOFO has moved forward since the 5.7 came out in 2007

time for us to get ours in that regard.

as it pulls more with a next gen design , payload and and efficiency will go up, they haven't updated this damn thing since 2007 in those regards, this will be way past what we have now or Toyota absolutely and totally shit the bed after jacking around with a 15 year old model. If that was the case just keep marching the 2021 model out for the next 10 years.

ok, I was kinda wondering about that..lets not go that far quite yet, HA HA

I said I would test drive one (F-150) this time maybe, since I love that built in generator and 570lbs on the powerboost.

but until I do and give it the official blessing, its still just found on road dead, hehe..:quickdraw:
