2022 Tundra

How did I overlook that?

 

Looks like a little camera lens under the mirror and one obviously on the grill, or am I seeing things?

 

Also, is the rear bumper missing or possibly built in?

 

It is more integrated like the other new trucks.

I think most of us kind of knew it would look like a larger Tacoma and 4Runner, since those styling made it a hit for Toyota.

Although, it still has the evolutional style of the current model, especially on the front bumper center.

When you compare them like this the Tundra definitely has a Tacoma vibe

 

Agreed. I like it though. Maybe a dark brown leather.

 

Similar in appearance... fugly, just not as fugly as a GM product.

It's classy, and it's growing on me. (I like my current truck. I like my current truck. I like my current truck...)

Why didn't they tuck that front bumper up higher on the Pro? It looks like it has just as bad an approach angle as the GMC. The Raptor front bumper and skid is what you'd expect from an off-road truck.

Notice that only the Raptor's hood is even with the top of the bed. The GMC and the new Tundra look front heavy because the hood is higher than the top of the bed.

 

I like the new AT4 so the good felling is growing up on this new Tundra, now just need the specs from Toyota to see what they did to compete with the other options

 

The rest of the truck looks fine, but this grille & bumper is God awful.

What do you all think?

For me I usually wait at least a couple of years before making a purchase. Let them work out the bugs and all. Curious on the mpg and power. Maybe 2024/25 for me.

 

I’m pretty certain every modern vehicle on the road today has a plastic front fascia, unpainted is what I think you meant to say.

 

Pro version will probably priced above 70k so I’m out at that price range. I like to see the OR version first

Interesting that yesterday's leaked photos of the red/orange truck have black mirrors and door handles while today's official photo has body-color mirrors and handles.

 

Car and Driver, take it for what it's worth, said the Pro is expected to start at 50k. I'm sure dealers will gouge though.

 

Maybe color matched TUNDRA vinyl on the lower half under the TSS sensor will break up the plastic look.

 

Guess they should have just put chrome on it.

 

Only if the powertrain can be configured without the hybrid option..

 

Looks good, I’m with you on 2024/25. Will have to test drive. We now know it looks like a bigger Taco. Hopefully it does not drive like a Taco. Current Taco is a pos.

 

SR5 will definitely have chrome

 

Or if they give a option for the 5.7 V8
