    LOL.

Why does Toyota think any of this info for dealers will stay under wraps? In the age of the internet they should know better.

In reality I think they know exactly what will happen, and this is a marketing strategy to build up hype. Witness all the new posts in this thread.

Didn't think it was possible to make the front end any uglier than it is now. I'll wait until real pics are released before I judge too much though.

it does look like the back of the cab doesnt slope down anymore!!

I was really hoping that would go away, I dont like that on mine.

now if that A pillar is a tad more upright so you dont have to bend in half to get in, that would be awesome, too hard to tell from that pic though

I hope I am wrong but the tailgate picture kind of looks like they may have gone with a composite bed like the tacoma

I’m pretty sure they are going with a composite bed. For my purposes that’s great, I have rust in the bed of my 2007 and not having that problem going forward is preferable.

The "no lower grille" look is a TRD Pro thing. I rather like it. Just my .02. Don't taze me, BRO.

Ya, composite is good. I don't max out my bed. I just have camping gear in there (although two yeti coolers weight a lot after you add all that beer and a bit to eat...) So light and rust-free works for me.

Well they lowered the land cruiser weight by 400lbs with aluminum, so I can imagine the weight savings of the composite bed in addition to that.

For that the composite bed is a positive, for hauling heavy it is not, there is no need to increase payload with the composite bed. The bedsides can stretch a bit with. that style bed, Tacomas. need bed stiffeners for heavy loads and even then you can eventually see it stretch (tailgate seams) I have seen this happen on both of my Tacomas and I don't really haul anything that should stress them that much.

    They can crack as well

thats on the taco, it cant even get out of its own way.

if toyota goes composite in the tundra, it will be fine, different deal with a full-size 1/2 ton and the market.

I'm fine with the no-lower-grill thing. That'll just mean we have a place to put the extra stuff (winch and such). :D

If they go that route, it will definitely require more reinforcing.
