In today's video David confirmed that following the morning event, there was a subsequent presentation discussing future product and that material disclosed was embargoed until a later date. He then went on to say he feels confident about hearing something about Tundra in June.

    For what it's worth. :D

Any issue swapping out the stock '16 candles/matches for the sugar coated sweetness of the '18 LED headlights?

    Vertical adjustment dial issue?

Nope. All works the same. There’s a main thread on this site on how to do it.

Go to the next F250 owner and say that to him. Do it 10 times so I can count how many out of 10 punch you in the fucking face because I would in a second.

    Right!
To be honest I’ve grown bored of the new tundra and nearly all Toyota’s and am leaning toward the 2021 Ford Explorer ST for my next vehicle.

If Someone doesn’t like a manufacture I’ll take that. When you start attacking people themselves for buying something they want that’s where I draw the line I’m sorry. Some people need to move up to a three-quarter ton and there’s no option for the Toyota even though they would rather buy a tundra.

That describes me to a T. Gave Ford and Dodge a chance, but ended up in a Chevy even though I’d rather drive a tundra/Tacoma/4Runner until I’m dead.

not sure if it’s on the upper trims now, but it’d be nice for Toyota to have all the buttons backlit so you can see them at night.

Same here. Have had 7 Toyota’s in my life and out of all my cars/trucks I’ve owned only had 2 lemon buybacks. 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my 2018 tundra platinum. But it happens to them all.

Easy now, F O R D.... It’s a Toyota forum, No offensive comments intentionally. It was a Acronym that I’ve heard before and I’m sure others have.
No need to get panties in a bunch. Have Fords at Work, and they work! Dodge also, With a Ltz Chevy.
If A Toyota forum can’t make fun of other companies.... it should be a rule at other forums to not make fun of Toyota!
I’m sure Ford forums, Chevy and Dodge never make fun of Toyota!?!?!

Obviously have to look at a domestic if you need a heavy duty truck but I wouldn't ever consider a domestic in any other class unless the next Tundra is still lacking payload capacity.

On the Fuel tank capacity VS when the warning light comes on, not sure why they do this, but on two of my motorcycles, the 'light' comes on when I still have 2 gallons in the tank, the Tundra comes on with 8-9 gallons in the tank. Some may be to keep the pump immersed and thus cooled, some may be to be more idiot proof. Once you KNOW, you know, adjust accordingly. Nothing to stress, fret or snipe about. You want to follow the lead of the idiot light, go for it. You want to go off a known range, go for it. Is it that big of a deal?

Didn’t mean to offend any Ford owners... On a Tundra forum. Also, if a acronym offends you as a personal attack- Switch to Decaf

I know too many people with domestics that have been long dead. Across the street neighbor for one paid 70K in 2008 for a big F250 diesel XLT. It croaked at 9 years old as soon as he started pulling a trailer.
My 2008 Tundra has pulled a heavy a$$ Mallard trailer ALL OVER before the RV and pulled cars from Idaho Nevada Oregon etc. Facts are facts and my money says a 4 banger full size no matter the horsepower, will not last.

Then he officially got bent over with the worst deal in the history of truck deals. $70k for a truck wasn’t a thing back then . Even The top of the line king ranch had an msrp of $58k which meant it was maybe $50k after incentives.

Thank you! No wimpy 2.4 up in here! Lol

But seriously we have several explorers at work and they are good vehicles. The hybrids we have are friggin quick so I'm sure the “performance” variant would be fun! I miss fun vehicles from back before we had kids and mortgages and I sold my WRX and Gran National. Hell even my chipped 7.3 F250 was a hoot compared to the Tundra. I am still holding out to see what the new Tundra brings to the table but if it is lack luster then the ST may be my next ride unless i decide to supercharge the Tundra

I would find it difficult to imagine the 22 Tjn to be lack luster, from a standpoint of a Titan company like Toyota ,that is lagging in the Full size truck market

So I feel like I'm someone who can make a somewhat educated response on this coming from a 2014 F150 Ecoboost to a 2021 Tundra. Both steel body and 6 speed transmission. I've said this in previous posts however I'll be brief and to the point, I can expand if asked.

    Fuel economy:

Towing I found the Tundra slightly better.
Highway the F150 is quite a bit better... On cruise going the speed limit.
    City they're about the same.

End of the day, while the F150 gave me no problems, but I didn't trust the longevity of the Ecoboost. I started noticing a clunk in the transmission occasionally while towing, and roughness at idle. I gladly gave up a little on the fuel economy based on my driving, gained better reliability, enjoying the V8. Being "in the boost" which is needed much of the time towing and city KILLS fuel economy worse than any V8. The possibility of ending the V8 and only having TTV6 made me run to get a 2021.

We too have had several at work, and for a mid sized 3 row SUV they were quite decent.

My good buddy just got a new ST, and it is FANTASTIC. Smooth, quick, comfortable, and tons of tech.
