I agree that it should have 4 wheels, a bed, windshield and headlights. Everything else is conjecture, guess work or downright fabrication. Toyota are doing a damn good job of playing their cards close to their corporate vest. All of the YouTubers want us to believe they have facts to back up their keyboard created "renderings". By purporting that they have inside knowledge, it generates more interest and viewers for their YouTube channels. That is how they make money.

I want to see the new truck as much as anyone. But, I'll save my daydreams for something more productive like my date with Scarlett Johansson.

The TFL video could be close-is. From the spy shots the headlights look close, and the 4runner looking grill also looks fairly close.
The cut outs below the headlights I don't see happening though. Ttv6 plus the different air dam shapes we've seen in spy shots show they're playing the mpg game with this one. Why go through the trouble of testing different air dam designs only to have big ass air catching holes in the front of the truck?
I could be wrong but that's the fun in speculation.

Completely doubt Toyota will have anything like that given how they tend to sway away from the bells and whistles, but I am wrong frequently. Anyway it's pretty easy to get auxilliary power for boondocking and is a lot cheaper than a new truck.

On the F150 it costs $1500 to get the full 7.2 kW system. It costs $1000 at Home Depot to get a 7 kW generator.

For the extra $500 bucks I would rather have it with the truck rather than lug around my 100lb generator.

I'll take the portability of a generator myself. Sure it takes 2 people to get it in and out of the bed, but after that I can wheel the generator to where I want. Then there's problem if you need to send someone for supplies - generator means the power tools don't need to be shut down.

It's a cool feature that all hybrids should have, but as someone who does work on construction sites I would prefer a generator vs. on board power.

Your right, it works in your situation. If I'm out boondocking in the RV it would be very convenient just to have the RV plugged into the truck. If you need 120V it's there and nice that the truck will start up and shut down as needed. Also a running truck is quieter than my inverter generator and I dont have to carry an extra gas can for the generator.

You just convinced the government contractors to buy Powerboosts. "Sorry, we're going to need to extend the schedule again. Had to shut down work to send the truck for supplies." :p

Tundra going BEV just reaffirms my decision to keep my 2020. The infrastructure is just not in place yet to support dedicated BEVs, in my opinion. BUT, in a few years when it's time to upgrade, perhaps the situation will be different.

An EV will be a great choice for a 2nd vehicle. They make sense for in town driving and trips under 300 miles. Until battery recharge times are reduced and range increases a EV truck is going to be a tough sell. When it does happened I'll gladly give up my gas burning Tundra.

You say that now, til your truck has a software issue with the onboard generator causing it to be unusable. Or a software issue with the infotainment, or 9k other bells and whistles that now make the truck challenging to use when glitching.
