If it looks like that, then I'm all in. Love the crewmax doors, but would probably get matching rims

How stupid are the guys doing these renders? Why not use a 2014+ Tundra instead of a Titan?

Funny - the first thing I thought when I looked at it was "huh...that looks a lot like a Nissan Titan."

You really think they’re going to put the 3.5 v6 that has no power for the Tacoma into an even bigger truck?

I never thought they would put such a gutless power train in a Taco. I hope they don’t make a similar mistake on the new Tundra, but I’m not fully confident. That’s why I ordered a ‘21 Pro Tundra.

I just came from a 17 Taco and traded it after 3 months because of that 3.5 and missing the V8. I really hope they don’t screw up the next gen Tundra with the same or similar drivetrain.

It's been established that it will be the 3.5 twin turbo with the hybrid option for higher trim levels. That 3.5l turbo motor will perform better the the outgoing 5.7. If you didn't know what was under the hood you would swear it was a V8.

I don't recall a twin turbo being talked about by the press for the Tacoma.

Personally I couldn't care less on what it sounds like if they can get the mpg up past 25. If it pulls better than the 5.7 and can get class leading MPG it can sound like a fart for all I care.

No they didn’t of course. They did say it would have more power and perform better than the 2nd gen, though they forgot to tell us it would have the torque band of a 2 stroke dirt bike. Anyone who has driven a 3rd gen Taco knows that power train does not belong in a pickup.
