Nice catch. First time I've seen that. I can't believe the debt some people choose to shoulder.

I don't care, I will tell you I pay roughly $700 bucks a month. I would pay it off if interest rates were lower but as of now I am good.

I was going to tell them about the locking door on my T-100. Yours is at least in the realm of being a full-size truck.

Seen both in person and still can’t decide. I love the avalanche and always have . But I like to also get the unique color of the year for the special models

Yup, it sure does. When I had it detailed. I noticed those trim pieces pop up so easily. I had to realign them.

Ford loves their V8’s, it’s refreshing to see a company put effort into their V8 program in today’s day and age. This is the greeting on their main web-page this week actually:IMG_7415.png

Probably a smart move, considering there are still so many die hard V8/NA guys. And it'll be the only V8 half ton available for 2025.

it will be interesting to see when its the only one available how many of these v8 or die dudes will actually buy it instead of everything else.

not sure we can track the sales numbers of just that v8 truck though to watch it.

for me, love the sound of the v8, but these TTv6's just perform way better, Im speaking of the Ford and Tundra, I haven't test the Ram hurricane yet

Totally agree. First time towing with my 3.5 I said I'd never buy another NA truck. They sound great but I'd honestly pick the 2.7 over the 5.0. Exception would be if I planned to SC.

I think what most people miss is that a lot of truck owners don't care if the TT V6 options outperform the V8. The V8 generally will outlast the TT variants long term, and requires much less maintenance getting there.

When you look at how these TT V6 engines are made and the maintenance required, for many people (ranchers etc.), they don't want to be changing plugs at 40k because they are gapped/destroyed, they don't want to install catch cans/change oil at 3-5k due to degradation, and they don't want 2 water pumps, 4 radiators and the complexity that comes along....oh and the greater possibility of catastrophic failure due to the nature of pumping 500lb/ft torque through a 3.5L block.

It's more than just power....I think commuters and people that use their trucks through warranty and trade them are driving the market to a different place. Reliable trucks may be a thing of the past, not to mention the repair cost on all of these new vehicles is just insane. Good luck replacing turbos/engines/anything out of warranty without going broke.

The 5.0L V8 is a great engine too, high compression (12:1), dual PFDI fuel injection, Ti-VCT, plasma cylinder bores. It’s really got a lot of tricks up its sleeve, definitely in its own camp for V8 motors. Probably why it is still around too

Bonus is they are 4 years into the variable displacement and no issues. GM can’t say that. Seems the DOHC setup works much better than those lifters GM/Ram used for reliability.

ya, I was really skeptical when I started testing them as I was always a large V8 performance exhaust dude.

I was really thinking going into all that I would be in the 6.2 GMC with a Borla on it. After owning the TTv6 for a while now, towing, etc, I don't think Id go back, my 2016 5.7 seems like a dog now compared to this thing. Not so much like its overall super faster, but just pulls and tows really easily, doesnt have to rev to the moon to make power.

it will be interesting to see how that market share of that only v8 truck turns out.

right now the tundra is kicking rams ass and has the largest market share they have had, curious with the way people talk around here. I wonder if thats because people are waiting for the hurricane and not wanting the Hemi, as it pertains to our conversation here?

I don't think ranchers and others like that use 1/2 tons most times anyways.

Can confirm my 22 Pro did it. But my 23 platinum was good.

Also I’d like to add (not directed at you banner just using this same comment ) to the locking gas cap fetish a few pages back. The only reason it’s on the TRD pro, is it’s mandated. If it wasn’t a hybrid it wouldn’t be just like the non hybrid models.

Kinda like the hybrid f150 has it. If the raptor was a hybrid it’s have it.

in conclusion the locking gas cap argument is silly.

I think you hit the nail on the head, Ram will have to discount heavily as there is hype around the Hurricane and Hemi is very dated. I had that engine with very little changes in my 2003 Ram.
