    Hi All

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere, I had a look but couldn't find anything.

I just picked up my 2022 SR5 and am constantly having problems with my bluetooth connecting and android auto.

I am pretty sure I set up the bluetooth correctly so don't think that is the issue.

The problems I am having are:

    1) half the time my phone will not connect to bluetooth so I have to manually go into settings, bluetooth and then click on my phone to connect it. Once I do this, there are no issues, just seems ridiculous to have to manually connect each time.

    2) It seems that if I connect to android auto (which I usually again have to go to settings, bluetooth, then click on 'connect for android auto') If I remove my phone from the cable, my phone will now also be disconnected from bluetooth, so I have to then manually go and select it from the settings menu again. Or sometimes I will plug in my phone while already driving, and it will not connect to android auto, I will have to do it manually. I have always had F150s and never had an issue bouncing from android to bluetooth and vice versa, and can't imagine that this is how Toyota intended for it to work.

    3) When i turn the truck on it says it can't find my profile, or something along those lines. 50% of the time it then finds it shortly after and the other 50% of the time it doesn't and I have to go in and find it myself to connect it (I am not sure what the profile even does, or why it doesn't connect)

I have tried deleting my phone from bluetooth and reinstalling it, and also switched cables that I use to connect to android auto to ensure it wasn't just a cable issue, but the issues still happen.

Anyone with any similar issues or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

Seems to be a common problem, hopefully an OTA update will fix it soon.

First thing you need to do is link a primary key fob to your account. That will allow it to automatically log in when you start the truck with that key fob on board.

Great thank you. How do I do that? Everything I am finding online is about their remote connect app which I have (I don't use it but it's all set up)

    Thank you,

Once your log onto your profile. You just go into your settings and there is a “link kee fob” button or something. Make sure you only have one key fob in the truck.

Supposedly there is an OTA Update releasing in Feb that will solve many common issues with the head unit software.

I am also having issues with wireless Android Auto that doesn't seem to connect to my phone. I find that when I use the remote start it happens more. It that might be a coincidence.

I am using a Pixel 4 phone. Hopefully an OTA update will sort this ..
