Average over the last 2500 miles is 13mpg even, according to the computer. I am running 285/75/18s so I would guess that that's about 5% off, however.

I’ll be running a real interesting test from today- Monday and into next week.

picking up the truck and driving from Mobile- Kansas City 13hrs and will follow the break in procedure

Saturday the truck gets lifted and will be driven Sunday 10hr to Sturgis, so will have a good gauge on how much mpg loss from lift.

Monday front and rear bumpers go on at C4 then a 7.5hr drive to montana (80 mph speed limit most of the way)

Monday- Friday I’ll be towing by drift boat and off-roading it remote areas to fish and keeping an eye on my mpg

Friday will be MT- Boise highway towing the boat going 80.

That sounds cool DexterL! Should be one of the most in depth mileage tests for the iForce Max yet.

over that last 1000 miles just hit 3K of mixed driving im at 16.1, pretty happy with that, summer gas and not sitting in the driveway warming up helps i guess.

Took delivery on May 12th. Put roughly 1000 miles on it around town with a few short weekend drives. Averaged 18mpg according to the built in computer. Loaded maybe 300 lbs of luggage in the back and left NC for Colorado. About 1500 miles so far. Average 19.5 mpg.

Are y’all driving in mixed modes or keeping it in normal mode? I started my second tank in Sport mode and have 50 miles in the tank and am at 12.1 MPG through the city. My very first tank was started in Eco (first 50 miles) then Comfort and I averaged 14.1mpg on mainly highway driving. It was set to cruise at 82. Just testing out each mode as I drive to see which gets better mileage for my driving style. So far it’s 3 mpg better than my Suburban if I average 12.1. Maybe I should have waited for the hybrid Tundra.

It’s 8.4% off. That is, if your truck came with 275/65R18s.

I’m running 285/75s and originally had 275/65s…if you look up any tire comparison tool (I like tiresize.com), you can compare two sizes and tell how much wider/taller/heavier the second tire is as a % of the first. 285/75R18s are 8.4% larger in diameter than 275/65R18s.

    13 +8.4% is 14.1.

I’m getting 16 combined in my ‘21 on 285/75s driving conservatively.

Since starting my driving vacation I am now at 2250 miles without reseting the MPG computer. Coming down out of the mountains has gotten me up to 19.9 MPG. I am burning 87 octane gas. I have found that some states have 85 octane as their regular gas.

I drove from Alabama to Idaho and back in my 4x4 1794 crewcab. The distance was a bit over 5,000 miles and on all sections of the trip I got over 20MPG.I go the speed limit or a bit more, including the 80mph limits in the west. It is very good on the road.

I wanted to add to your comment about it being very good on the road. We've done 100 miles or more on dirt roads with my son and his wife as guides. It has been a very comfortable ride. The lane centering is nice when running on wide paved roads. Lots of visibility for us tourists watching for wildlife. And all the cameras really help with parking when in town. I am really pleased with my new truck. If I had to list a downside it would be that there is some wind noise when traveling at higher speeds.

I got mid to high 19s in the truck stock, and then when I did the Westcott 3/1 and moved to 295/70/18s, I'm getting 15.9-ish, which comes out to ~16.7 when taking into account the difference in tire sizes.

is having a lift and big tires really worth all that fuel loss? just asking, I know people like the lifted truck look with 35"s and MTs, etc, and I think it looks good too but damn, losing all that MPG and some performance doesnt seem worth it

that said, I am getting older, lol.

I wont be going with 33" load E like I have on my 2016 next time around, I dont have a lift. Im looking at platinum tundra again and thinking 33 p rated light weight tire and turn off the fake engine noise and enjoy the silence, damn, I am getting old.

I'm totally OK with losing 3 mpg if it means I can get some places I couldn't have before, and I like the look of the truck better too.

Of course, YMMV and all that

There's likely a performance hit, but I haven't noticed it.

I still have my stock tires and stock suspension. I need to review all the places I've been with my truck. I'm not sure that I couldn't have done it all bone stock. I would have scraped a lot without the extra clearance and shock travel, especially in Colorado. A trip like that would cost me twice in fuel what it did last year driving all the way from Tennessee. Probably wouldn't amount to more than a few hundred bucks difference if I did put my truck back to bone stock and did it this year.

I'll have a better idea what to do later this year, lol.

I got 21 mpg on a full tank driving to Atlanta within the first 2 weeks of having it. Under 1k miles. Have a tonneau cover. Wasn’t hypermiling but was conscious of my driving. 70-75mph. Just installed the TRD high flow air filters. Will see how that helps.

Coming from a 2005 Tacoma that got 18-20 mpg. Needless to say I’m super satisfied with the 22 Tundra. It’s like I’ve stepped into the future lol.

Drove 520 miles yesterday towing/hauling 4200 lbs total (bed full plus the boat weighed at a scale). 17.2 MPGs.

    Got another 500 miler today.

    17.0 yesterday Asheville NC-Memphis.

Keeping it slower today, temps around 100. Had a blowout yesterday on my boat trailer. No need to do that again. We’ll see if the slower speeds get the mileage up even better. Another 500 miler!

keep in mind, your F150 results include the Raptor as well. You can isolate it by choosing XLT here:

Wow, thats pretty significant. I am surprised the relatively few raptors drag down the average that much.

Also, if you select Lariat they drop way down. Not sure why because a Lariat should not weigh that much more, but maybe its the addition of 20" wheels or something.

So are many of y’all noticing an increase in mpg as you get more miles “broken in” on the engine?
The best I’ve gotten is 19.1 but I haven’t gotten above 17.1 on any tanks since then. Most tanks have averaged in the 16s. All my numbers have been with 275/65/20 tires for reference.

That is odd. Maybe Lariat and Platinum are more likely to be 4x4? Combining those 3 models is probably the best average to compare apples to apples.

I'm seeing the opposite. The more miles I do, the worse I see for the same trips. I've done NC to upstate NY a few times. My first drive after picking up the truck had me at about 20.9mpg and this latest trip I barely cracked 18. I still drive like a baby on the long distance hauls. I'm at almost 5k total.

Only 800 miles on the truck. Almost all around town driving. Averaging 12.5-13 mpg at best. Not great

I did another ~700 mi weekend last weekend, and found that I average ~15.8 mpg at freeway speeds around 75mph in Eco mode, and on sustained stretches of 55mph roads, doing 60mph, got in the mid-17s. That's with 34" tires and the Westcott 3/1. But surprisingly better on the slightly slower speed roads.

I average 17 mpg on the freeway, 70-75. That's at high altitude, which probably helps... but hilly too, and usually windy. It's a lot better cruising at lower speeds.

Anyone with a 2022 disappointed compared to their 2nd gen? I'd expect the 2022s to be 2-3 mpg better.

I just drove mine from Alabama to Idaho and saw anywhere from 16.9-19mpg till montana. Montana storms, mountains and wind dropped it back down to the 16’s. Towing my driftboat from Ennis, Mt to Boise was a solid 16mpg which is awesome.

    They're actually 290/70R18s, so I was rounding :)
