The Sales Manager emailed me back about why I wasn't interested in his Tundra with the $10k mark-up. Here was my response:

Sure. Take your $10k Environmental Protection Plan and shove where the sun don't shine. When that becomes uncomfortable, call me. I'm sure by then I will have bought a new Tundra for $60k from one of your competitors. You know, one of the dealers that have a shred of integrity. If you are not sure what integrity means, google it.
    Oh, and f_ck off.

Picked up my army green Limited with TRD O/R pkg in January from Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa, CA.
Highly recommend - no dealer markups, refundable deposit, and the largest inventory (or in-transit inventory) of Tundra's I've seen -- atleast in this area.

Red McCombs Toyota in San Antonio. When I asked for the price I was given the "asking" price, which included the $8k 'market adjustment', but didn't take much haggling, over text even, to get it for sticker (MSRP + Dealer Adds). Can't blame them for trying, first experience with this dealer by the way, and won't be my last. It seems the dealers in the smaller towns don't really care about customer satisfaction, but get into the city where theres another dealer 2 miles up the road, and they treat you different (i.e. Better).

I predict the ADMs will subside soon. $5/gal gas is on its way, some places already have it. And I've been watching my local dealership inventories, one has 6 Tundras either on-site or in transit, and my Nissan dealership (I'm cross shopping) has 7 new Titans and 14 new Frontiers.

I doubt Tundras will go below MSRP, but I would expect high gas prices to kill ADMs soon.

Last time gas went to $4+/gal, the full sized truck market evaporated. I have a feeling you will see Tundras below MSRP pretty soon. Otherwise there will be lots full of them.

I'm still waiting on them to refund me the 1k down I left on a tundra. They have been completely unprofessional and even tried to get me to pay me more than what Toyota finance was asking for the payoff.

Dealers are marking up used cars as well. My wife is looking to purchase an Audi Q8 (I know...not a Tundra, I'm just venting). I found a 2021 with 4000 miles on it....dealer tacked on a $2500 prep charge...not kidding.

added Romeoville Toyota to the list, they force 1895 worth of BS paint protection

"All Toyota vehicles have the Xzylon protection on the vehicle. Other dealerships are charging $3-$4k for this protection + market adjustments + msrp. Where we are selling MSRP + $1895 for something that adds value and protects every inch of your vehicle. "

Xzylon has a bad rep, most people believe dealers don't even actually apply it. People who work at dealers think it's garbage.

I'm going to look at some Tundras today and the dealership is including the dealership installed coatings too, at $3k. They also say the windshield is coated. Out of curiosity I read the fine print: "the coated surface of the windshield is guaranteed to be protected" against what? And is that an inside or exterior coat? Pretty sure "surface" means exactly that, as a crack goes through, oh and the windshield coating is $900 on its own. The cost of an OEM windshield, BTW

for my money its total bullshit and Im not paying 2K for it.

pretty much what I told them. Im leaning towards sitting out the 2022 tundra anyways due to QC problems.

Not related to Tundras, but related to mark-ups. The new 2022 Honda Civic SI has an msrp of $28k...there are dealers charging $8k over mrsp....that's close to 30% of the msrp price...friggin nuts!

I would expect that to continue for fuel efficient vehicles.

The fact that Tundras all of the sudden are sitting on lots (at least near me) and I have sales people pestering me to take a test drive was unheard of 3 weeks ago. Will be interesting to see if ADMs die down on the Tundra.

I am picking up my Midnight Black SR5 4x4 CrewMax today, Convivence package, spray on bed, power ports, etc.. Walked into the dealership 4 weeks ago, looked at their allocations (through their Internet Sales Director) and "found" the unspoken for SR5. $1000 deposit paid for the truck. NO dealer markup (Toyota of Olympia), only 1 other dealer in the area, Bellevue Toyota, didn't have a market adjustment increase (though Bellevue did have a "standard" $3000 package build which included paint protection, window tint, etc.) so I guess that is a market adjustment. Toyota of Tacoma had a $4995 mark-up!!! Distance between all three...less than 30 miles each way.

Aside from dealing with a "dealer" @ Toyota of Olympia, pretty straight forward and forthright. Truck was due in on 18 March, arrived 17 March, pick up today.....looking forward to my first new car in over 30 years.

Thompson Toyota at Eldridge, MD has already been added to the list of no markups (for Maryland residents, unsure of nonresidents) but the dealer has a Supersonic Platinum coming in between March 23 - 28 ($68.9k OTD for MD). I turned it down since I've already had a reservation coming in next week. They seem like a decent dealership since the salesman told me not to cancel my Lunar Rock. I hope this info helps somebody secure the truck sooner than they anticipated.

Nice! I went through Toyota of Olympia as well. I should be hearing about my black platinum soon. Build date of 2/28 and sales told me it was already on the train back on 3/7. Maybe I'll be lucky and it's on this same delivery truck. Same deal, $1000 deposit and they seem straight forward (for a dealership)

Toyota of Grapevine, Toyota of Irvin in Texas....heck any Toyota in the greater DFW area has a minimum 10K market rate adjustment markup and the most was 15K market rate adjustment. Any dealer in West Texas and Austin Area are all at MSRP.

Dude. Your research/website was an absolute game changer for me. After my first experience dipping my toes in the water trying to buy a 2022 Tundra, I thought I was simply out of luck, unless I wanted to pay a crazy markup. Had almost completely given up on the idea until I found your website, which allowed me to shop around & find exactly what I wanted. Seriously, thanks a lot!

Can also add the Longo Toyota in Prosper Texas to the list of no markup Toyota dealerships.

Weirdly enough, I actually bought a Scion from the Longo in California back in 2015. Amazing how things can come full circle.

I've added them to the site as I've gone but I found multiple dealerships in the DFW area that do not do any sort of market adjustments. The only caveat being is that most of them charge a refundable $500 deposit to get on their list. Family Toyota's deposit system is the weirdest one. They don't technically charge you the $500 unless you break their "6, to 8, to 10 week" estimation on them being able to get the vehicle you wanted. They make you sign a contract & give your CC info before being placed on the list.

Longo Toyota of Prosper, Toyota of Denton & the Toyota dealership in Waco were all fantastic to work with & very honest from the start. Only Waco charged a fully refundable deposit & had no issues giving me my deposit back when I found another vehicle.

I have honestly seen ADM fall off the window stickers at a bunch of dealers of various makes near me as Customers have complained and caused manufacturers to come down on dealers with allocation threats.
