Same as me, bought in Dec knowing the new one was coming but started think what if I didn't like the new V6 turbo. Plus I had no plans to buy the first one and didn't want to wait 2 more years.

A buddy of mine said today that his brother in law works for Toyota in Texas. He mentioned a Diesel is in the works for the new body. Will it be??? Who knows. I still love mine and will probably not change unless a Diesel does happen to show. Yet the 5.7 is nice and strong.

I pulled the trigger too early. I speculated 2021 will be the 4th gen, I could have waited for the 2021 model. I might still take the loss and trade my 2020 for 2021, I want the bed box!

    A bunch
All signs are pointing to late 2021 a 2022 MY will be available for purchase. Question is will they do they unveiling in a year at Chicago like they usually do, or do they steal a page from the US guys and reveal it at the Texas state fair which would fit the timeline much nicer. Not saying those are the only 2 options, as the NAIAS is moving to mid-June this year which would also work well.

I hope the body style doesn’t change too much. I like the current truck exterior, but I would make it resemble Tacoma just a little bit more. Keep the 5.7 and update interior and add more tow and payload capacity.

When I bought my 18 DC I really wanted a regular cab 6.5 or 8 bed but they discontinued the regular cab therefore I bought the DC which I’m glad I did now for extra storage. I’ve only used the back seats once or twice for passengers in over a year if my only option was only the crewmax cab I would have bought another truck or the Tacoma. I didn’t need the extra cab space the CM would have been a total waste for me and a lot more money. If Toyota does eliminate the DC I would at least hope they would bring the regular cab back maybe with some extra storage behind the bench seat. There is a commercial market out there and I thought Toyota would like a share of that. Nobody knows for sure what will happen until Toyota comes out with the next gen but eliminating cab options I feel will hurt them. In the 2020 models Chevy and Ford still sell 3 cab configurations while Dodge has only DC and Crew cabs. If Toyota would only sell one cab option CM I think they would lose sells. Lets just keep our fingers crossed that someone from Toyota will relay our thoughts from this forum before they limiting our choices. Sorry for the rant but I’ve owned Toyota’s since 84 and options (or should I say lack of) has always been the sore spot for me. Thanks for letting me vent.
