Just checked my invoice and I have Autel sensors that run both 315/433Mhz. Thankfully, just in case I have any issues my brother is getting a new TPMS programming tool at his shop next week so I'll have that option if need be.

I was sweating a little bit although after I contacted custom offsets and said there might be an issue they said if Toyota can’t program them they would refund the money and $35 per tire to remove them so that was a little more reassuring although I’m glad everything works now

The OEM sensors transmit at 315, but it's unclear if the truck reads both 315 and 433 (for those who get 433-only sensors). The dual frequency Autels work in the 22, according to a tire shop on FB that has a 22 Tundra.

Do you want oem? 315MHZ sensors from
Tire rack work perfect. You do not need machine to reset. Ready the manual and use the dash setting to recalibrate

Toyota service techs could not get mine to work. I went to the Manuel and read the instructions and reset them
    From dash

Can confirm on the Autels. Work perfectly with the ID registration/pressure setting as outlined in the Owner's Manual.

@roboots21 and @sparky412 There are many models of Autel dual frequency and more than one Max that is purple. Is there any way to get a specific model or purchase link that is 100% known to work.
I had a tire shop say that they have had bad luck with new Toyota's and told me to go get my own sensors.

Edit: also anyone else that has gotten other sensors to work, what are they and was there any additional programming required other than what is stated in the manual?
    Thanks!

The ones installed in my truck are Autel 300020 sensors, which look like they can be bought at AutoZone/O'Reilly's/etc.

I just got the 20" trd offroad's on FB marketplace. I'm getting the SR in sometime this week, and my understanding is the TPMS on the steel wheels will not work for the alloys. That said, I'm in the market for some new sensors. I'm not a handy guy, at all. With that in mind, is this something I can (easily) install on the wheel myself? 2, if not, how much do you think I can expect to pay the dealership to install the TPMS and wheels on the truck? I haven't the slightest idea what a dealership charges for this type of service, this will be my first brand new vehicle. For fear of warranty issues, I'm told its best to use the dealership for all service. Per our sales guy lol

@sparky412 @dekeman Do either of your Tundras have the "change wheels" option in the TPWS menu that it talks about in the manual?

My 2023 TRD offroad came in and i am trading in my 22 tomorrow. I have 295-60-20 Falken Wildpeaks on my tundra with OEM limited wheels. I am going to swap my wheels over to the new one tomorrow. So all i need to do is take off my wheels and tires put on the new truck. Then go into the menu and set tpms to discover and drive for 10-20 miles and it should recognize my old wheels on the new truck ??

Correct. However, you want to choose 'Identify wheel & position' (can't remember what the full term is) as there is no 'discover' option. The rest of what you say is true.

Learn something new every day. So basically the Tundra has its own scan tool like the tire shop?

worked like a charm on friday. Swapped from my 2022 to my 2023 TRD Off-road and no issues.

have you tried lithia billings for parts? Prices are same as sparks but now they have the “shipfree” promo code.

I too am contemplating a send set of 2nd hand wheels/tires and need to factor in them pesky TPMS that folks always reuse when they re-sell them.

trying to get my hands on trd pro bbs 18” with complete tires and tpms. Hard to find

Those of you that went with autel sensors...all you had to do was find them via the truck's cluster menu?

I got these for my 2023 SR, put them in, went to the settings to have the truck identify them. It blinks the yellow warning sign for like 5 cycles then turns solid, even after driving over 35 minutes and restarting the truck it has not identified the sensors. The seller says that they need to be reprogrammed at a tire shop. Not sure how true that is; but as of now these do not work. Will have to swing by a tire shop to find out

If things are the same as the prior generation Tundra's, it is the angle of the valve stem that is different between the steel wheels and the alloys that prevent them from fitting on the alloys properly, so, it is a physical difference between the wheels that is the problem, not the electronics.

Can Confirm they work, i bought these sensors from the ebay listing as well, while they do take a while to program, i drove around for probably 45 mins still wasn't learned, stopped and shut the truck off, got something to eat, probably 20 mins, left and on my drive back, within maybe 10 mins the light went out and it was all good

Are they still working? Cause the next day I stared the truck and they weren’t working again. It seems like they work after a restart after driving more than 30 mins in program mode, then next day stop. Not sure if I have to go to the shop to get them reprogrammed or something

Went to the store and worked just fine, showed tire pressures within about 15 secs of moving.

i am wondering, by chance did you happen to maybe have your other set of wheels in the bed when you did your initialize the first time?

Nope. I had the sensors installed in the shop, and mounted the wheels myself at home, then went to program mode once I was on the road driving. Steelies with OEM sensors are in the shed. No where near the truck.
When you received the TPMS sensors, did the package say “pre programmed for Tacoma”?
