Where is said recall? Links? I've not heard or seen any recall for this. And yes, mine too has had this occur a few times. I have reported it to NHTSA, as I'm in the US. Contacted my Toyota dealer, they seem to think it's not a problem, just check to make sure it's updated (that's their "fix").

Record the problem on repair orders. Make sure you get exactly the issue recorded. After however many repair attempts you need, start lemon law proceedings if you are able to.

Usually if brakes bring you to a dead stop, I’d say they are pretty good!!

I don't like posts like this because the original post mentioned they locked up out of no where. Then you thumb thru and they casually mention they were coming up on a bridge. We don't get the full context and the owners manual outlines when failures can occur like curves and objects close to the road.
So we are left wondering if our truck is going to do the same without knowing exactly why they locked up. To me a bridge with a railing close to the road would be understandable why brakes locked up especially on a curve or if the truck wasn't square the the road, like changing lanes.
