I just got a message that my SR5 TRD off road 4x4 has been secured and should arrive mid February. ( I put a deposit down just before New Years. )

    1. I wanted the leather seats but dealer says Toyota is not making any with the leather just yet as way to encourage people to just jump up to the limited. Does that sound correct.

    2. Does anyone know if this Truck comes with and actual TRD skid plate ?

    3. is it worth a couple of grand to have after market leather seats done?

4 can I black out the front grill Toyota emblem or does the have electronic sensors like Lexus does built into it?

No 'actual TRD skidplate'. That item will be standard on on the TRD Pro.
These days Toyota is all about making vehicle trim levels that amount to pushing customers to other, more expensive trims. The business model makes sense, but it's disappointing with these prices involved. A buyer spending $45K+ should get what he wants without having to endure a butt ugly truck.

TRD skid plates are junk compared to aftermarket anyhow…

So I got the specs on my assigned truck (I will be using my Truck driving around town 95% of the time but I do have a Ranch I go to, thus needing 4 wheel drive and wanting a skid plate)
Turns out it is not a SR5 TRD OFF Road like I wanted.
It is a SR5 4X4 with SR5 Convenience Package and Truck Sport Series Off-Road Sp Ed Pkg - Black

Truck Sport Series Of-Road Sp Ed Pkg - Black comes with the following:
Truck Sport Series Of-Road Special Edition Package-Black: 20" TRD Black Alloy Wheels with All-Terrain Tires **(Replaces standard wheels and tires)
Predator Drop Step **Black Emblem OverlaysAll-Weather Floor LinersTSS OfRoad Bed Decals(

    Questions:
    1. I do not see Fox or Bilstein shocks listed? What are the standard shocks on this truck and does it make much of a difference on normal city driving?
    2. Looks like no skid plate. Do most Tundra's have no skid plates?
    3. 20" TRD Wheels vs 18". Is this going to be an issue?
