I still like turn key. Old school now I guess. 7” screen with Apple car play will be very nice. I can see myself trading in my 17 Pro for all these new features.

I don’t think so, the gauges in that picture are from a pre 2018 tundra

Any updates on the front Pro grille? Would love to update my 2018 grille without having that awkward square under the Toyota and without have to pay $300 for a 4"x8" TSS cover.

I wouldn't sweat it, you still have the Pro in Voodoo Blue, which is still better than all the other trims in that colour.

It's pretty funny how people only see push button start. What about entune 3.0 with a larger screen and better resolution? You can turn on your car with your phone now as well as lock/unlock. No tacky aftermarket remote start. No need for aftermarket HU anymore either. Stock integration will always fit and look better too. Sure will be convenient opening the doors without touching the remote/keyfob and inserting a key. It's definitely a step up over a '19. Much more significant than the '17-'18 changes.

The way this reads, we have reached the pinnacle of automotive innovation and no further updates will be required. More tech isn't always better but I suppose it's what you are after. The whole not reaching for the key fob when opening the door is a massive pain in the ass and for sure, aftermarket looks like dog shit compare to "all" stock components.

Is your current Tundra completely stock? I mean, stock will always look better....or maybe that "only" applies to the stereo.

People who love push to start also love leaving their shopping carts in the parking lot without putting them away. I'm convinced.

You realize the key is like push button in that you turn the key and and release the truck will turnover until it starts right? I guess the only advantage is to leave the key in your purse but I don’t carry one of those.

I get push button start on rental cars all the time and find it annoying to have keys lose in the cab or passenger seat while rolling around

Had a Dodge Charger R/T as a rental a few weeks ago. Absolutely smoked the tires, huge burnouts. Turned it back in, car smelling like burnt rubber all throughout. lmao

    Agree though

If they’re ditching the 5.7 then no. Turbo 6 doesn’t cut it in my opinion. Does Toyota even offer a diesel overseas in Europe or Asia?

The underlined items got my attention. This is on the build sheet for my 2020 Tundra Platinum.

I’m just glad those of us that have straight up 5.7’s were able to get the last of full size trucks with big engines that don’t shut off at traffic lights and shit!

I don't own a Tundra... Yet. I used to own a '17 which I loved and I was so close to purchasing a '19 a month and a half ago.. For this gen tundra, the 2020 changes are the most drastic by far. I think people are ignoring what Toyota is really offering for this generation in it's final year. I can see why '18/'19 owners are scoffing at the 2020.. I scoffed at the '18 when it came out as I bought my '17.

Look.. The tech were getting here is B-A-S-I-C. It's not like the truck is going full electric with a tesla screen in the middle.. It's getting basic tech but it is much better than what any other tundra has offered. Many good creature comforts, more colors, and it's a Toyota. Not a Mercedes. Parts are cheap and it's dependable.

I know the majority of this forum would take the 2020 features in their older Tundras any day of the week. Some have bought aftermarket headunits just to get some of these features. It's a great balance of old school truck with some modern tech. To me it's the sweet spot.

Safety Connect with 3 year trial sounds like something simlar to "onStar".
Wifi Connect is a welcome - I'd use use it when needed toward maps or music.

True that. I have a friend who owns a Tesla, he drove to NM from CO and never touched the steering wheel. Insanity.

    Thanks for sharing the updates.
That build sheet even mentions “USB ports”...more than one port would be awesome. better screen, push button start, keyless entry, and apple car play. I have to admit I kinda wish I waited as I got a 2019 about 3 months ago. I’d imagine the price will got up some too though. I wonder if the keyless entry will only be on the driver side like they did on many Tacoma pro’s or if it will be both. Any idea on cost? These features are great, but if the price increases 1-2k I won’t have any regret going 2019. They aren’t worth a huge price increase to me.

I think this is going to be a sweet spot for many, especially when the new generation comes out and you can get a sweet deal on these.

Cheers brotha. I like your style with the rentals. I have a stockpile of old videos and pics of totally romping rental exotic cars. Lambos, 911s, vettes... let alone regular rentals.
