2020 PLATINUM CREWMAX MGM COLOR MATCHED DOOR HANDLES

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where I can buy color matched door handles for my 2020 platinum in MGM? Every site I go on only goes up to 2019 for parts and I'm not sure if the 2020 have the same handle as the 2019.

2020 models with push to start do not have the same front handles as the previous models. I will be making an adjustment to the Ultimate parts thread once I get everything in order to make sure we are getting the correct parts for the new style handles.

No sir, the handles are not available in that particular color. I would recommend grabbing a black painted set, and having them painted at a local body shop.

Side mirror caps are still the same.

I am in the same boat I purchased a white 2020 Platinum and they have the keyless entry with touch lock and unlock function etc... I contacted Sparks and they sent me a part #69210-0C070 which looks like a regular handle with a cord I guess for the keyless entry part. I just am mixed on the part because the handles on the truck are part white / part chrome and at very end is the touch part for your fingers to touch and lock. So not sure this is the right one.

 

Yeah and Idk what it normally costs for people to replace them in the 2019 but he quoted me like almost $550. Fuck that I’ll keep my handles chrome lol.

I am getting this weird almost whistle like noise when I listen to audiobooks using audible specifically after an s sound. I can hear it in music too if the instruments are low enough. It’s driving me absolutely insane. Wanna know if I should take it in and get it checked out. I can’t even listen to the books anymore. Premium jbl system my ass. I have to have it cranked up to 40 or 50 with the windows down.

 

Yeah there has be a cheaper alternative I just hate the chrome! I have not heard the "whistle" playing music but have not played any audiobooks either. Will try audio book tomorrow and report back. Yeah the JBL is subpar I test drove a couple Rams with Harmon Kardon systems and they sounded really great just could not get my heart into the overall Ram reliability.

 

ive only heard it once in a song, but the audiobooks there’s nothing but their voice so it stands out like a sore thumb. For reference I was using the audible app and listening to Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets. Lol. It’s mostly after the pronounce an s sound. I’m thinking of just upgrading the whole sound system because it’s just atrocious. They shouldn’t be able to name that thing premium.

 

I upgraded my 2016 to the oemaudioplus system last time it was pretty good with minimal work and works with the head unit. I just am getting old and don’t feel like jacking with it all.

 

I wonder if painting the current ones wood work? Does anyone have any suggestions on that idea?

The deal is the handles are available from the Sequoia SR5 models. They are quite a bit more expensive and there are only three colors available that are shared between the Sequoia and Tundra. I explain more of that in the thread. If there's other information you think I need to add about the handles, just let me know.

@Roman are the handles easy to install I know how the regular ones install and can you make any better of deal on these?

 

I would think they would install the same way, plus just plugging in the harness that is on the handle itself, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I haven't seen any come through our shop that needed replacement yet. The best deal we have is listed in the links I posted.

 

Do you think as time goes on, these prices will go down once they actually start stocking them for the Tundra, or will they always just be the same as the sequoia part?

 

I highly doubt it. Toyota almost never goes down on pricing of their parts.

 

I changed out the handles on my 2020 Crew Max over the weekend with new color matched handles I got from @Roman. Because of the "touch to lock/unlock" feature, you have to remove the door panel to unplug the connector on the stock handles and plug in the new connector from the new handles. Not a big deal, but I also had to cut the clear plastic that is covering the inside cavity of the door. Or, you can remove it and then glue it back.

That's correct. Regular handles for rear doors. Also, the plastic cap for the driver's door key hole cover is different on the 2020s. I believe @Roman said that the correct parts come from the Sequoia.
