Only 8000 miles on it, go figure. Lady was in the left turn lane, decided she didnt want to turn left and went into the driver side of my truck. She had a Nissan Sentra, which apparently does not have folding mirrors, so the mirror just dug in down the side. I submitted pics to insurance for a "virtual" estimate. I'm sure I'll get shafted.

A little unceremonious, but now maybe you can worry about it less?

I’ve always felt like a little ding or scratch is liberating lol

That's a true bummer, but a good body shop should be able to fix to look new.

A thinner rag, a buffer and a good PDR guy will make short work of at least 90% of that. Might be able to pocket some decent money if you don’t let the insurance company off easy with their first estimate.

I can tell you from experience 2 doors (crewmax) and a mirror run over 6k. It’s a piss off. Mine had just over 10k miles when a deer ran into the side of my tundra going less than 20mph. Drove a shit box z24 for years starting out and never hit a thing

looking at pictures again you may be able to get a pdr guy to fix the dents and maybe a buff? Either way it sucks to deal with

Ah man, that sucks for sure! Like others have said, it may look worse than it really is, and most of it literally may buff out, but either way I'd be pissed! It can be fixed, but I'd try to get depreciation value from her insurance as well since its still so new. Especially since she probably just needs a new mirror for like $100.

My 17 had 7k miles when a massive buck ran into the side of it. destroyed the drivers side front qtr, front door and the mirror literally exploded onto my window. Later that day i backed into an illegally parked car, did nothing to it's bumper but wrecked mine and put a dent in the rear bed side!

That's does suck....my first brand new vehicle, a Ford F-100, back in 1981ish. I picked it up at the dealer and was driving home, 35 miles on the odometer and a guy runs a stop sign and hit me left front end. To make matters worse I was so mad that I couldn't open the drivers door as the fender was pushed into the door. Which just got me more mad. Boy was I pissed....so I feel your pain and thanks for bringing up painful memories for me. :)

Insurance shouldn't shaft you, its simple body panel & paint repair. However it's incredibly annoying.
