    Hi all,

I recently (~4 months ago?) purchased a 2019 Tundra Limited Double Cab, with the Graphite leather interior.

From new, this truck has never had a "new car smell", at least one that people would think is a good smell. I've noticed that sometimes there can be quite an obnoxious odor in the cab, and I've noticed it is especially exasperated by the truck being driven with the windows down on a sunny day. When using my nose to try and find the source of this odor, I trace it to the leather itself, that seems to be off gassing this ridiculously obnoxious odor. Due to the fact that it happens when it's warm out/sunny, I'm thinking it may be caused by whatever factory (or dealer?) applied leather conditioner they used and perhaps it's breaking down when exposed to UV

I've tried a few leather cleaner/conditioners but at the end of the day, the same obnoxious odor will rear it's head (specifically Mothers VLR, Lexol Cleaner + CG Leather Quick Detailer). This odor has been around since I purchased the truck brand new.

Has anyone else had problems like this? I'm wondering if I'm a one-off or if this is a common theme on these Tundra's with graphite leather...

I bought my '19 new and I didn't have the issues you're describing. How many miles do you have?

Maybe mildew in air vents from running the ac?

That was my initial thought along with clogged sunroof drains or a cabin filter needing replacement.

The odor goes away when I start the truck and run the AC, it’s definitely not the AC system. It’s not a mildew odor.

The truck has about 10,000 miles at this point, and has had this problem since purchase.

Mine smells like new leather. 5000 miles.....I have an aftermarket sub box behind the seat that smells like wood sometimes....maybe go sit in some other new ones at the dealership?
