How are so many of you brothers??

    JK.

I prefer the older pro grille, but to each their own.

you guys are referring to the 17 and below insert right? Cuz that's the bottom pic if you're referencing my initial comparison post. But yea. I liked it too. Just got old to me. If I build a Sequndra I'll probably run the '17 insert. It looks a bit more beefy and fun now that I've had some time with the 19. I still don't regret the decision.

Old for sure. If they made a sensor-less version of the new grill it would be the winner.

I like them both but I ended up going with the 2019 cause I liked the honeycomb look.

I have the older pro grille on mine. I would still go that direction because I wouldn't want to have the surround painted to match my truck. The older grille came in barcelona red and my sport already has the color matched hood bulge. Both are great looking IMO!

Question regarding the installation of the insert. I purchased a Pro Grill and just wanted the insert put in on my 2017 Limited inside the chrome surround, the guy installing said they had to remove the tabs from the lower piece of the TRD grill and would probably cause a rattle due to the integrity of the grill being modified. What I'm wondering is if everyone is using the TRD grill, how are they getting around this issue?

If they didnt break all of the tabs when removing the surround there shouldnt be a rattle at all. If they did break a bunch then yes theres going to be a rattle as the surround will be loose on the insert.

Pictured here I was rushing when I removed the black surround from the 2019 pro grille and broke a tab. If yours is loose then I would say they broke a lot.
    20181016_192220.jpg

2014-2019 Grilles all tabs on surround and grille inserts are exactly the same. There is no difference in them as far as mounting goes.

    Hope this helps
