I bought mine off ebay and it is the same part number and OEM works, no issues snapped right in the new grille.
I was a little leary before hand.

If I was going to install the honeycomb TRD Pro grill - I’d probably bite the bullet and do the same thing. Not sure why it’s so pricey but it must be different than the eBay knockoffs because of the reports of issues.

    Peace of mind is priceless.

I bought eBay grill and sensor, worked completely fine. But after removing it to install grill Leds, got TSS malfunction. Honestly I think it’s probably because of moving the TSS for the 2nd time, but OEM isn’t much more. I would buy the OEM grill (honestly not much more money than aftermarket) but use an aftermarket garnish.

Can you share the link where you got the Grill cover at? and do you have a picture install on your grill? Thanks!

It's the emblem, Toyota. When I switched my Limited to the pro the emblem from my limited would not work on the new grille.
I'll post a pic when I get home. But again it's an emblem not a particular aftermarket part.

Anyone with a 2018-2020 tundra put a pre 18 grill surround on? I have a 2020 quicksand SR5 and want to get rid of the chrome, they sell a TRD Pro in quicksand for previous models, all I want to install is the bulge and surround while keeping my insert.

You would need to buy the bulge and surround in quicksand (not sure if they sell this color) and remove your current insert (carefully) and put the insert in the new surround. Definitely possible

Okay so I found some on eBay but the reviews are shit on most of them. When the tss is a mess as you describe, what does it entail exactly? Like does it just keep throwing codes at you or does it just not work?

Basically my Chinese replica grill threw a code, pre collision warning system off. I didn’t have TSS for a month until I figured out how to fix it and didn’t have the dynamic cruise control either which works in correlation with TSS. Most annoying part was the TSS OFF orange light on the dash. I believe in the TSS system so I was super bummed it was broken. Just buy the OEM grill and you won’t have any issues. Garnish you can just pick up from eBay.
