    6112-5160's, airbags with cradles, toytec shackles, 295-70-18 pathfinder a/t, tonno pro tri fold, trd duals, trd cai, trd pro skidplate, curt a16 5thwheel hitch, toyota bed mat [from last tundra], tinted windows and white paint cuz its the fastest color!
    Could be the picture but it looks as if the bracket blocks alot of airflow too all of the air to liquid coolers.

    It's a small cooler and the wind shield still deflects air behind the mount. Additionally, the cooler is about 6 inches from the radiator. This design allows for maximum airflow through the grill and will not interfere with the other cooling systems on the truck.

    You should do a complete kit. Get everything together and sell it for one price. I would buy one his summer if the temps on my 2020 are higher than expected when towing my TT.

    Honestly, that is not a bad idea but most of parts you need come with free shipping so it wouldn't be worth if I can just provide you guys with the parts I used.

    It would be a good idea with the hose. The biggest pain was finding the correct length for the hose and hose heat protector. That would save you guys half the trouble.

    Lots would just want to buy a complete kit and not want to spend time searching and waiting for parts to arrive. It would be nice to have a complete kit so the buyer could just install and go. Add instructions on the installation and you could have a hit.

    In that 2nd pick I'm guessing that's the two factory in/out hoses to the thermostat, if so is that gold bracket one you added to stabilize those two hoses? I don't see it listed as a part.

    I need to update the post with the OEM Toyota parts. You will just need 2 adel clamps for the back of the mount.

    Just gonna let you know that I d/l the 2015 service manual and the listed torque values for the atf warmer/thermostat (3 bolts) is 15 ft.lb.

    How do you find out if you need one of these coolers for your truck? I have a 2020 and pull a 28ft camper sometimes in the summer. I live in Texas and the heat is pretty bad here.

    It's not proven it is "needed". According to toyota it is not needed, however, if you monitor your temps while towing your camper you will probably think else wise.

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
    Get an inexpensive odb2 BT and an app like Torque Pro ($5) or other favorite transmission temp reader.

    Might want to consider trans fluid drain/fills at motor oil drain/fill timeframes....just a thought...

    The higher the temp the faster the ATF breaks down its lubricating properties. Transmission wear is inevitable however, having the ATF at a lower tempature will prolong the fluid. Some charts show an increase of ATF around the 250° range will cut the life of the fluid in half over time. Additionally, I have read clutch pads break down under high temperatures.

    Greetings,
    Still piecing together the stuff to install the cooler. In your parts list you specify a 45 deg. push lock adapter. The one in your picture looks like a 120 deg adapter. The m/f adapter is a 45 deg. As it stands now, it appears Toyota would deny warranty on the transmission if I do this. (What a rip!). I may do it anyway however.

    To me it was worth it. Just piece of mind knowing my temps will stay much cooler than stock.

    Looks like a very nice setup - well done! Typically lines enter bottom or side (lower is inlet) on cooler to fill cooler and push air out to remove voids. Why lines on top?

    Most trans builders will tell you, trans fluid operating temp around 180*F will significantly improve fluid life and trans reliability. Well done getting fluid temp down to 190*F.

    For the masses - Yes, full synthetic fluid does holds up much better to heat these days, however trans seals don't. Pressure loss issues are the beginning to the end of a trans clutch pack or band.

    Interesting. Gotta appreciate a cool running transmission.

    Side note - The pressurized fluid fills the cooler pushing the air out. Ford full size cooler lines all enter on bottom. GM side tank radiator with cooler - fluid enters bottom to push air up and out. Engine cooling system coolant inlet is at the bottom to fill voids with coolant and eliminate air pockets. Just a thought (not that yours isn't working).

    90% stock , A Few Tasteful Mods
    I just want to throw my 2 cents in here , In my opinion if someone tows alot just leave the truck stock , don't mess with modifying it to have a cooler and risk the chance Toyota denying you warranty if something were to shit the bed . just drain and fill the trans yearly with Amsoil Signature series Trans Fluid , its the best synthetic trans fluid on the market for holding up to extreme heat , I find that to be a simpler solution imo
