Or do you guys have any other ideas? I’m not looking to rattle my license plate or what we here in chicago call the hood bass but something that you can get a little chest movement when I listen to “Bad Company” thanks for any help

Check out james with with Tech12volts. He’s got a great reputation and I haven’t heard anything at all bad. I’m planning to have him do mine as soon as I can. James Randy Taylor tech12volt@gmail.com
    He’s extremely helpful.

I personally went with Tacotunes and dont regret it 1 bit. Tech12volts has a great reputation around here, but i have my own reasons why i went elsewhere. The cold hard facts are, you have plenty of options, depending on what you want and your budget. To do whats best for you.

I’m ok with the 2500 I think that will give me good sound I’m not looking to join a car show sound competition I’m not looking to have the base destroy my body panels I just want something that I can rock out on the hyway and when I’m a stop light turn a couple heads That’s it. Right now u could barely hear my music with my windows down wen I’m doing 70mph

I went with @james@tech12volts on a complete JL Audio upgrade...I looked at Taco and OEM as well. After I saw TT's posts on this forum and what looked like slow customer service I moved quickly elsewhere. You won't find one person on this forum that says anything bad about @tech12volt. He answers the phone personally if you are in the middle of an install...I just bought his remote start with CarLink on the group buy and couldn't be happier.

    Here is what I got...
-two 10 inch JL subs in his custom box...my installer said one of the best custom boxes they have seen
    -JL 5 channel amp
    -C2's on all four doors
    -C1's on the dash
-DSR1 processor since I kept the headunit.
All parts required for the install were in the box.
You could upgrade any of this like getting C5's etc...James is able to hit yr budget with the packages he sells.

Highly recommend sound proofing doors, back wall and floors while everything is out of the truck....I did soundskin pro on doors and back wall and did a foam with a layer of mass loaded vinyl on the floor.

Did you go with 12 tech? I am very seriously considering this set up.
    Reviews when completed?
    Thanks

Yea i did, everything looks good he sent me all types of wiring harnesses I got all 4 doors done already on Tuesday I will start taking out seats and carpet to soundproof floors and back wall and wire up amp and subs oh and I have to get the dash speakers done which looks likes it might be a PIA hope not but he has them already wired up to plug and play.
I have to say it’s been a good experience with James at 12v I work evenings so get out at 11pm we were messaging at almost 2am he answered all my questions fast could not believe it hopefully the system sounds as good as his communications been

Very curious to hear how it turns out. I'm thinking of doing it at some point, but I have the JBL system and it sounds pretty good for me at this point, so this is lower on my priority list.

Are the dashboard speakers going to be amped? Is that the center with 2 speakers and did you have to modify the fit?

    Thanks.

No need to spend any where near $2500 unless you just like throwing your money away. I went Taco Tunes 5 channel, Rockford sub from Amazon, and Infinity Kappas Xovers from Crutchfield. Probably spent 1/4 that. I have not done rear speakers but never have passengers so I have faded towards the front.

He can pretty much upgrade yr system depending on yr budget...Seen folks on the forum do very little and were pleased with the results.

Is that the jl rd900/5?? I almost went with that one but got a better deal on a xd 700/5.
I installed mine last week and it sounds amazing. I disconnected my dash speakers though and put my tweeters in the sail panels of the front door. I believe it sounds better in my opinion.
