My remote tuner for my x runner is excited about tuning my tundra. Once I get the exhaust finished. And my 5.29 gears installed I’m gonna have him tune it. He’s very good and now working with a company that’s been tuning 2018- lower tundras. So they know their shit. Let me know who’s interested and I’ll give u some info.

I had been considering a DAP tune as they recently released a tune (or will be) for 2020-21 Tundras. A local tuner just offered our local Tundra group a custom tune with this new HP Tuner. Says it will take about an hour but he hasnt been able to get access to a dyno to give people some numbers. A buddy got the HP Tuners tune last week and says it is worth every penny paid - improved shift points, slightly better mpg, and better throttle response.

I am about to the pull trigger...

I just had a local tuner do a custom tune on my 2020 using HP Tuners. The truck runs more efficient and the shift points and throttle response has really improved. Apparently the Stillen intake makes a bigger impact than I thought. Aside from the intake I only have the OEM TRD Pro exhaust. I cant wait to drive some more.

    Hey all,

This is my truck and I’ve been working work HPT to support 19-21 and they surprised me with this post!

I’ve been tuning tundras with VFT and it’s been ok. The tundras tuned with HPT is waaaay better and I’ve done a handful here in the NW with great success.

As others have mentioned, you’ll need a tuner with the software, but once you find a good tuner, you’ll be really happy with the results!

Whatever this forum told me to do
Can we see a before and after dyno?

I've been told one could squeeze 30hp out of the n/a top end. is this true?

not so much the bottom end.

    Shift point changing would help.
