If your SR5 still has the halogen headlights, the easiest and best performing solution for "black out" is the OEM LED headlights. This is the 2019 TRD Pro Gloss Black Housing:

You'll need an adapter harness. PM @iHacker to order the harness according to your needs. Image and part numbers above from his thread. Headlamp housings available from any Toyota dealer or SparksParts (TUNDRADUDE34 used to be good for a big discount).

Morimoto... Blacked out like you wanted. Lots of light. Did I mention sequential turn signals? Game over.

    Just started looking into this.

are the Tundra headlights really that much less than the Tacoma LED headlight?! $400-ish less each?

Or you could use nightshades. It's essentially a light tint spray paint, use in very light multiple layers if you do. Or always tint via a vinyl wrap type of setup.

    +1 for morimotos

How about $290.89 from Sparks Parts. (I think I paid over $350 each!) Be sure the TRD black version is the headlight you want, because these LED headlights also come in chrome and smoked chrome housings:

    https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-headlamp-assembly-left-hand-trd-pro-811500c211

BUT!!!...They also have free shipping over $75 if you use the promo code FREESHIP at checkout. Be advised that once you enter any other discount promo code, they will not let you back out of it for a better deal.

Morimotos have lots of issues, just search the forum. They are also over 2x the cost for worse high beams, and only slightly more candela on low beams. Not worth the scratch.

    Awesome! Thank you!

yeah the black version is what I want.

Just crazy because I paid just under $1400 (pair) for my taco led’s and wonder why the tundras are significantly less? Maybe the DRL’s don’t switchback as a turn could be a partial factor? Idk, seems like an awesome deal to me though. Win win

Several issues in the Tacoma version as well. The G2’s seem to be a bit better, but too new to tell longevity wise

I have a 2017 Tundra with the 2019 TRD Pro Black Housing LED headlights using the iHacker harness.

My DRL/turn signal amber light on my passenger side stopped working today. I'm going to upgrade to LED ambers on both sides, question is, do I need a resistor or can I just buy an LED Amber and install it?

I needed resistors when I switched to vled turn signals on my 2020 with oem led headlights.
