Does anyone have experience putting 6x9 focal toy speakers on 18 or newer Tundra?

yes. The 6x9 mid drivers fit exactly in the factory opening and bolt pattern matches, also with a harness adapter for the factory plug. The tweeter bracket fits in the factory locations as well but the plug harness did not fit so I had to modify a bit....pic attached.

So, there was no window interference? Why did you replace the tweeters as opposed to the sail panel? Wendell I asked Focal they said they hadn't tested the later years.

nope none at all, focal tweeter brackets fit exactly in the factory space. I didn’t know about the sail panel option at that time and may move them but the only issue I had was the provided harness adapter not fitting and had to modify for the dash location.

Thanks so much for your input. Did you put in a sub and how do you like the mid and tweeters?

Yes, they sound really nice and bass response is very good. Depending on how much bass you want, you almost don’t need a sub with these. Starting to put in my sound deadening hopefully tomorrow because the road noise competes with the vocals a bit but sitting still you would be hard pressed to find better sounding speakers. They are a bit pricey and there are some 3 way focal 6x9’s for about $180 but I don’t think those would be direct bolt in like the 690’s, and have the 165’s in the rear doors. Included the other components of my system for reference....run by Kenwood DMX905S HU.
