Need some help here and my reasons are simple. Just trying to keep some stuff private so don’t need any grief.

Looking to disable any and all telematics or communications emitting from my 2018 Tundra SR5.

Please advise. Thank you for your time and support. Welcome any questions.

Man, something I can tell ya: get a Volvo 240 wagon. It has no nothing, completely transparent to cops (they don't see it) and the trunk load height is just perfect to load/unload a witness. Just throw over a few pieces of trash that a regular old Volvo wagon driver carries in the trunk all the time.

Generally 2018 is the last year before additional services were offered. It’s the last of the digital dinosaurs. There is a receive only gps under the dash, satellite radio receiver only on the roof and Bluetooth in the head unit which can be turned off in the settings. The GPS breadcrumb can also be turned off in the head unit.

The DCM and ECU will track diagnostic and engine data but 2018’s don’t have the ability to transmit data back to Toyota as part of the connected services. I do not know if the DCM stores location, speed, etc, where it could be physically downloaded. I would assume not location.

I also have an '18. My dealership definitely seems to know when I'm due for service. My mileage is all over the place depending on the time of year.

This might be a Canada vs USA with Etune 2.0? We have no connected services on the 2018 here. Even then, that requires Bluetooth and a cell phone.
