I bought mine 2017 CrewMax 4x4 non TRD with upgrade package for $38,650. It was a left over with 2018s on the lot and the MSRP was $42,399.

I understand that but EVERY TRD oFF road package has the upgrade package. You cannot get a TRD off road without the SR5 upgrade package

You may be right. I don’t know the answer to that. I never understood why people do not get the 38 gal tank.

Toyota would not let me get the spray on bedliner alone. If I wanted the bedliner, I had to also get the Deck Rail System.

That's weird, I have the spray on bedliner, but NOT the Deck Rail System.

Edit: But I have the TSS package, and you have the TRD.

^^ Not accurate. Here is a link to a TRD Offroad with SR5 base trim, 26.4 gallon tank, and front bench.

    https://www.autonation.com/cars/5TFDY5F16JX723075

I also uploaded a PDF built from the Toyota Website TRD Offroad with SR5 base trim, 26.4 gallon tank, and front bench.

@Downey They might let you do that in Montana but here in NY they won't let you. If you wan the TRD Offroad package you automatically are getting the SR5 upgrade package.

And the more I see that bench seat the more I like it

@nowayout Definitely could be just a regional option. I like the front bench seat and the 38 gallon tank but it doesn't appear you can get both unfortunately.

each regional port has different standard configs. what is required in one region doesn't always come standard in another region. if you are in GST/SET region, Toyota usa rules don't apply as they are independent of Toyota usa. good example is you can get bed lights/pop & lock installed and a TSS package (which conflicts with Toyota usa TSS system) which you can not get outside of GST region.

edit : I should clarify standard configs. some options/packages are bundled differently with each region. one region may require a certain option/package go together where another region may not offer that same combo tied together.

How so? My TSS package doesn't conflict with my TSS system?

its a conflict of naming convention. people might confuse the TSS package as the TSS safety system. they are not the same. TSS package only exists in the GST region and its a bling package (tires, rims, decals, etc) vs the Toyota Safety Sense system which is a Toyota branded acronym.

Big difference in price! The TRD Sport basically costs as much as Limited but you don't get dual climate control or leather seats; you will get everything color matched and a fake hood scoop though.
