I have also provided many photos of the same images to dealer/ service dept. The new emblem/ radar sensor will be installed Monday. This was after arguing, service dept. saying it was nomal. I said it can't be normal and is not acceptable. Hope the new sensor fixes the issue. Will keep updated, my light started coming on around 300 miles on truck.
I want the safety feature ON and working correctly, this is one of the features why I bought the truck.

I have had 2 occasions where the BRAKE illuminated in orange with no visible impairments in front of me.

Thats what i have , its been 3 days of constantly coming on and off , i would assume that if someine slammed their brakes and the orange pcs light was on then the system would not work, which would defeat the whole purpose for having the system in the first place, maybe i should have waited to buy a 2019 instead and give toyota time to work the kinks out

Shouls i buy new Tundra 2018 or should i wait?????????????
    Hi Guys,
Tomorrow i have appointment for new 2018 Tundra SR5. I am going to trade in my 2015 Camaro SS 1le and buying new tundra. I was checking online for problems in 2018 Tundra and i came across this post https://www.tundras.com/threads/2018-tundra-pre-collision-code-issues.19312/. And people have issue with Pre collosion sensor and trailer error issue. Now i am double minded should i buy tundra or should i keep camaro for a while. I know these new tundra has lots of new technology shit so it might be messing. Anyone have bought new 2018 tundra recently and have any issue please let me know?
    Thanks.

I dont regret getting a 2018. The pre-collision was acting up a handful of times, but I am sure that is something that can be fixed with an update at the dealership soon enough. It hasn't happened in over 2 weeks now so I almost forgot about this issue.

    Hello,
I had some PCS issues, but I do believe they are all corrected now.
I had a regional tech, come and replaced radar sensor and recalibrate.
These issues seem to be taken care of now.

Had vibration issue, tire was replaced, corrected that issue mostly. Trim in front of hood was warping, Toyota also replaced that.

So I have had my truck for a couple of weeks now, a little over 1k miles on it. This past week I kept getting "Pre-Collision System Unavailable". Would go off, come on, go off periodically. Well this more I got a new one "Pre-Collision System Malfunction....Visit Dealer". haven't even made a payment and get this.

I had same issues, mine had radar sensor replaced (Toyota emblem in grill) now everything seems to be working correctly.
Bought mine at end of Jan., issue started with around 300 miles on it.

It took a while to convince my dealer as it shows no code and is intermittent. I took pictures every time, they contacted a regional tech.. He put a new sensor on and that seems to have fixed it.

I read about LED headlights in the new 2018 and then bought one but there are no LED headlights (I think). There's some LED light accents surrounding the headlights - wtf Toyota

Other than that and PCS issue I had (ECU airbag sensor replaced??) and fear of the cam leak happening at anytime, I do really like it. My previous truck was an Ecoboost that was fun to drive but the Tundra is even more fun to drive (except gas mileage).

I have a SR5 TSS package, but maybe it didn't include it on mine. Did think it was standard in SR5 though

Okay so I just read through 8 pages/232 posts regarding the PCS and I am still not sure I understand the entire issue. I have only had my truck for 3 weeks and less than 400 miles.I have noticed that when it's raining, even lightly the PCS chimes and turns off and the cruise control is not available.I thought that this might be normal but very annoying. Also, not being able to use the cruise every time it rains does not seem normal. Is there an official TSB or recall on this issue or is this in fact "normal"? One of the main reasons I bought this truck was for the PCS/adaptive cruise control.

Have had my 18 since January. Zero PCS issues, it's kicked in a few times (correctly) so it does seem to work. Got a letter for a software update but haven't brought in.

Hey Jason. Was yourissue specifically related to the PCS? Would my truck that was delivered on 4-22-18 have the most updated software?

doubt it unless it's been in for service... mine was built in early 2018 and doesn't have the latest software

I too had the PCS issue. Purchased 1794 crew cab December and within a few weeks light was on and off constantly. They recalabrated sensor radar..worked for a few dqys and then back again. Ultimately they replaced radar sensor in emblem and it has seemed to be corrected. It's bee a few months now.
