2018 Sequoia LED Headlight Harness For 2nd Gen Tundras

Yeah this harness is only for one side for some weird reason. I imagine there should be a 8 port plug and 3 port socket for the other side along with the Hi/low input sockets. There is a random male headlight plug coming off the 3 port socket. No idea where that guy goes or why it is on here.
edit: yes this did come from TRS, but they did disclaim that they had not tested it on a truck yet. I suppose they just wired it to test out one headlight.

 

I talked to TRS and they confirmed that it is only one side. I think they are wanting me to test out this harness to see if it works and then make one for production.

 

odd but has nothing to do with Xrunner harness.

 

I know, and I stated that previously. I was hoping to get some feedback on this one since everyone on here has either seen one or is going to see one. Feel free to delete or move, just seemed like a good spot at the time.

I am going to give this one a shot and see if it works. Otherwise i will be purchasing one from Xrunner

 

Also, they mentioned that the random male plug is a provision for a resistor in case of hyperflash, which is a non issue from what I gather.

 

just return and order from Xrunner, he makes the work one.

 

Headlights look great (Credited to MikeXdude), in my opinion the dim look stupid when sky not dark enough so i had to rewire to Bright all the time thou,...the 2018 Sequoia Fogs will fit directly to 2008- 2017 sequoia, and its only cost 280 a set. Whoever out there want to upgrade to OED FOgs, DO NOT go Morimoto's route as it is almost the price of the OEM one. Note that the OEm one very crispy and clean pattern. match perfectly with the Headlights. Created heads turning a lot lololol

 

I did the led upgrade on my sequoia but went a slightly different route. And got the morimoto led fogs.

Xrunner, what is the current lead time on a harness?

 

I just ordered a pair, can't wait to put them on. When i ordered the under trim pieces, on both description it says left hand, even though part numbers are different, anyone notice that?

Finally got the upgrade done to the rcsb and got both my babies cleaned up! This harness is the bees knees.

Thanks man. I was collecting parts to convert my 07 to the 3rd gen, but since I already did that to my 2010 Sequoia, I went a different route. Sold all my parts and made a tidy little profit to get the 2018 sequoia lights. Glad I did. Way easier mod and just what I was looking for!

 

Yeah i was going to convert too, but then the more i look at the Seq headlights, the more i like it, and it's a lot easier and cheaper to do this mod than convert. Now you gotta do the foglight mod to have it on all the time, that looks good with the DRLs.

 

Yeah it’s close to 4K to convert depending on how resourceful you are and this was well under 2k with the morimoto fogs.

 

I should've gone to this route than spending 950 for retro and holo

 

Retro will for sure have a better light output but, won’t give you the 2.75 Gen look

 

Nah, atleast yours is unique. I had retros previously, but couldnt stand that there was a haze on the inside of the lens. Needed some good ole fashioned OEM QC

 

Well one thing i know..all after market lense start peeling in a year or two..plastic lense gets really dull after..when time to replace i guess i know which to use next ..and maybe then we will see plenty sequoia oem headlight for sell

 

I would be surprised if there will ever be "plenty". They're rather popular.

True! I was thinking in terms of there being only about 10-15% as many Sequoias as Tundras built (according to Wikipedia) and I would think that the folks at the recycler are probably going to be savvy on the uniqueness (and value) of these new style headlamps.

 

Just do it ! We all know these lights aren’t gonna be discounted lol

 

I don’t have the harness yet, but I’m seriously tempted to just put them in and drive illegally for a few days!!!
