    Yes that's correct.
Referring to your earlier question about which options gets you amber, all options in a way will have amber DRL's. When they stay amber changes whether you choose 1 or 2. I have Option 2 all white operation and factory DRL's. So when I turn on the ignition the DRL's are on and they are amber. When I turn on my headlights to the first setting, the LEDS turn on and the DRL's change to white (this is where you have the option to either have the DRL's Amber or white). When my headlights are in the second setting, the DRL's will remain white and bright. Normally they would dim, but this is also where you have the option to keep the DRL's bright.

Hey Mike - just want to verify you are still making these and then I will send payment once I choose an option. I've read through just about every post and still trying to fully understand the difference between 1 and 2 and the amber option:
If I want the outer DRLs bright all the time, inner DRL (turn signal) amber during DRL mode but white during headlight on then is this Option 2 with amber option? or will the inner DRL always stay amber even with headlight on?

okay so when you are just running DRLs, the outer DRL is white but inner (turn signal) DRL is amber, then when you turn headlights on the inner DRL (turn signal) changes to white and the DRLs stay bright. But no matter what - your DRLs are on if your truck is on?

and I guess the other difference is that if I ever want the truck running with no lights then I have to go Option 1?

Bright all the time is option 2, the amber function all depends on if you have factory DRL’s, if you want amber inner until headlights are turned on, then it will be plug and play for you. If you want bright all the time and all white, then you have to de-pin or cut a wire under dash. The turn signals/hazards will always be amber when in use on any option/setup.

Did you do amber operation with option 1 or is that how it comes as shown in your pic?

I’m leaning towards option #1 where the DRL’s dim when the headlights come on. How do I know I have DRL’s? If my amber lights illuminate with ignition on, does that confirm DRL’s? I thought all tundras had this. This is on an 08 Tundra Limited CM.

On the factory LED Sequoia’s do the DRL’s dim when the lights are on? If so, why? Is it a regulation, or did Toyota just think it was obnoxious to have the DRL’s on at full power with the headlights?

Yes, the amber turn/parking light bulbs that illuminate as soon as you start your truck are considered DRL’s. Most have them, but some do not. The factory DRL’s dim when headlights come on because most of the time when you have your headlights on, it is no longer daytime. And the headlights make you visible at that point. Some just like the look of the DRL’s always bright.

Thanks - so basically if I do not want to cut anything or de-pin then I should do Option 1 and stop asking so many questions?

Hey what does your Sequoia look like with the bright DRL and headlights on - do you have any pics? are you still able to turn the DRLs off or does always on bright truly mean always on?

I just re-read all 26 pages and I’m still not clear.

Option 1 Dims when the headlights are on; Option 2 does not. Clear.

Option 2 is further described as having the turn signal portion of the DRL remain amber until the headlights are turned on with the OPTION of having the DRL’s be all white by cutting/re-pinning a wire.

Does Option 1 also allow for the option of running the amber turn signals as part of the DRL’s or are you stuck with all white DRL’s?

Also, there are references to Option 3 and Option 4 throughout this thread. I recall seeing a description of these one page 1 just a few days ago. Have these options been removed from the menu? What were they?

@xrunnerdude67 - Will you please confirm that both options allow for your choice of all white or combination white/amber DRL's?

    What are/were options 3 and 4?

Yes that is correct as long as you have factory DRL’s. If not, there will be no amber option. Except for turn signals/hazards which is amber no matter what.

So did I wire something wrong, or have a poor connection, or did I just get some headlights that aren’t operating correctly?! Only the inner DRL is working on the passenger side, outer only on the driver side, both headlights work. Only passenger turn signal. Only amber operation is passenger turn signal. Part of passenger outer drl illuminates right at startup. Please tell me I just need to secure my connections!

Switch the driver side harness with the passenger side harness and see if the passenger DRL lights up.

I got my (also eBay) headlights installed this weekend. I struggled with the harness.

I also installed the TRD Pro grille. I ordered it in Magnetic Grey thinking it might match well enough with the lower grey bumper insert to look good. Meh. I think I'll end up painting it silver when I paint the headlight fillers.

Looks good but I agree to the color match. At least for the lip. Did you buy from headlamps America on eBay?

I ordered the right one from headlampsamerica. It arrived with no visible repairs, but it had a very slight haze on the lens. They were very helpful and sent me a return label and immediately shipped me a replacement. The replacement was damaged in transit. They asked me if I wanted to exchange again, but a good original non-refurbished one popped up from redmondsworldwidellc so I bought that and will return the headlampsamerica one.

The left one was from a private party who claimed no damage, but one of the mounting tabs had been repaired. eBay. Whatever.

In the end they both work and I'm happy. Total cost for both with tax and shipping was $886.29.

I got min in and everything installed easily, except for the mess that came from disconnecting my squirters, anyway, one of my headlights appears to be a little brighter than the other. Anyone else have the same issue? Could this mean the headlight will go out prematurely?
