For those that are on the fence about the 2018+ Sequoia headlights,....do it! There are no direct comparison threads and since I have both headlights, I figured that I'd show the difference. The DRLs are literally night and day. No night pics since it's still light here but I can say that the Sequoia lights are brighter with less stray light (even with Hikaris in the alpharex).

I hope this helps someone in their decision!

What's the best price you found on the sequoia LED headlights?

Looks great! I was thinking about Morimoto XB over the sequoia headlights to save some money.

Thanks, I was able to find them for under $500 but one ended up having a bad DRL (I made thread about it) and the seller let me keep that one for $100 making the total $400 for both lights on Ebay. There is a company on eBay that sells refurbs for $444 each and says they will be in great condition. I debated the morimotos as well since they are cheaper but ultimately decided on the Sequoia lights due to the shape and how much they change the look of the front end. To me, the Morimoto lights are just a small step up from the alpharex lights posted above and the Sequoia lights kill them both. To each, their own though. Keep in mind that you'll have to buy/paint the filler panels as well if you go with the sequoia lights.

Hey Beau are the 2018+ Sequoia headlights plug and play or is there a special harness needed?
I would like to install a set on my 2013 Tundra CM.

Plug and play with the @xrunnerdude67 harness. It’s literally a 15m install.

One thing to remember is that the Morimoto XB retain the headlight leveling....according to the specs that is. I'm still waiting for mine to come in.

I ended up at $700 all in for my Sequoia headlights, panels, paint, and harness. I bought used headlights on eBay. They had cracks in the housing that I fixed w/ epoxy and minor blemishes on the lenses, but I got them for $200 and $225 respectively. I guess I got lucky, because everything works perfectly, and none of the blemishes are noticeable from more than 2 feet away. I was patient and waited for really good deals.

    @Beau looks fantastic!

What did you do about the headlight washers? Just plug the line?

I know when I replaced our headlights with some el cheapo housings from Amazon that each time I unhooked the washer nozzles the whole windshield washer fluid went bye bye

I disconnected the fitting and folded the line over itself a couple of times and held it with a zip tie. Nothing too permanent just in case I wanted to go back to washers in the future (not likely).

I wasn't aware of that. Interesting. I still prefer the Morimoto over the Alpharex....although $300 is a significant difference....

Thanks for the comparison. I've been looking for some new Sequoia lights also. I found a good deal on a set but the mounting tabs were broken.

The Morimoto and Alpharexs are nice but it is hard to beat this look! I'm still loving the new Sequoia lights! IMG_4514.jpg As far as the mounting tabs, it doesn't seem too hard to fix them if you have access to a donor headlight.

How did you guys get the panels off below the headlights without breaking any tabs. Tips/advice appreciated!

I broke all 4 tabs on my original panels. The new headlights required a different shape panel though, so it turned out fine. Before I swapped out the headlights (while using the broken panels) I used vhb tape which worked well.

I used a plastic panel pry tool. Stick it between the fender and headlight panel, and pry away from the fender. You should be able to separate them with a little force, without breaking the tabs.

eBay. They pop up every now and again. Just make sure they have all of the important tabs intact and no damage.

I came across a classified ad on KSL (utah, Idaho classifieds) saying he had multiple sequoia headlight kits for sale. Two headlights, harness and lower panels for 1,000 bucks. Says the headlight are made in same factory as AlphaRex, Morimoto ext. Not sure if it's legit or not, I don't think I'll take a chance on it, rather have OEM. Interesting though.
