Thanks to @iHacker. The previous owner of my truck installed the LED headlights using the Headlight Revolution harness which keeps the DRLs on full brightness at all times. The DRLs at full brightness are blinding at night, so I pulled the fuse for the headlight revolution harness to disable them. Got iHacker's dimming harness last week and just installed it tonight. Now DRLs function like factory headlights....full brightness DRL with headlights off, dim DRL when headlights are on. iHacker was responsive, professional and helpful.

 

Brings the truck up to 2021 standards.

For those that have the big A$$ chrome grills like I do, what style OEM LED headlights look the best? I think there are 3 flavors, chrome, smoke, Pro black (feel free to correct me if I am wrong). I am thinking chrome or smoke.

Thinking about switching to the TRD Pro OEM LED's from Sparks for my 2018 Platinum. Does anyone know if that is a direct bolt in replacing my factory LED's. Want to make sure the level feature carries over.

Yes for a 2018 Platinum TRD PRO headlights are direct plug and play no harness needed level feature isn’t affected.

 

Just for aesthetic reasons I guess because the headlight is the same except for the housing shroud color.

In that case, if you’re willing to ship. I’d be interested in your OEM leds!

You are not alone, I bought halogen TRD Pro headlights to replace my stock SR5 chome in 2015 when I did my TRD Pro grille.



Then bought 2018+ OEM TRD Pro LED headlights with the @iHacker harness.
I love it...



So I've bought 2 sets of headlights for my 2014..

 

Oh yeah those blacked out headlights change the look completely to a different level. Chrome is outdated

Stupid question: What bulb goes in the LED housing? Can someone link it?

So if your led bulb goes out your on the hook to replace the whole housing? I pulled the diagram from the led housing part number 81110-0C211.

 

Yes as @Azblue said the only user replaceable bulbs in the headlight housing is the turn signal (7444NA or 7443A, A means amber) and the side marker (194A) Low and High beam are aren’t user serviceable unless you have the knowledge to pry open the assembly and separate the clear lens to replace the integrated LED boards.

All this means that if your Lows or highs stop working at some point you have to replace the whole assembly and this is basically the same for all cars nowadays so not good news for us.
