Only reason I would say is that you can’t just plug it back in if you decide to go back to stock.

I ordered my TRD Sport headlights and from a video or two I am ready to order the LED turn signals and markers. I also have my required harnesses. Headlights will be here late Saturday! Any tips from anyone that has done the same on the 21s?? Thanks. Ken

 

One of my favorite tips is put tape on the headlights (painters tape) or anything you have around for both headlights. Saved me a few times from scratches. also tape fender areas. A few minutes of prep could save some clumsy mistakes. ~ I also have clammy / sweaty hands and things slip.

Also, warmer weather might be better when pulling on clips / tabs to not break anything. Might be okay if not warm, but things get brittle when cold

Ordered the harness from ihacker on Sat and received my dimming harness kit today (weds). Smooth process. I will add that I confirmed he had the parts in stock at the time I ordered so there was no delay waiting on harness parts. I noticed that he requires PayPal family option , which is not recommended by the forum, but I had no issues using that option. I assume it saves him money but does not come with PayPal transaction guarantee. Just wanted to convey that my experience was good if your on the fence. Now for the fun part, ordering lights and installing. Will post results with pics on my 16 limited.

Yes sir, uses a 194 or 194A LED bulb, the A denote Amber and that’s what I got for my headlights

Note: for anyone looking to do this. my headlights were not level out of the box. Easy 1-2 minute job with a screw driver to level. Install was also not as easy with the grille guard but doable, nothing to do with the wiring*. Also I did the dim option which requires wiring inside the cabin, there isn’t a lot of room to work in the but once you locate everything, and get used to the space it’s not that bad and really like the OEM style function. For amber delete I cut the gray wire, I tried to depin with a pic tool but couldn’t get it. I didn’t try very hard or that long.
