2018+ LED HEADLIGHTS PLUG N PLAY HARNESS FOR 2014-2021 MODELS [V 2.0]

@iHacker It may have been asked already but on my 2018 SR5 would I be able to purchase the plug n play? I don't really care about the dimming running lights.

 

I went this option as well.. Harness came in a couple days ago, lights will be here today. Excited to get them in.

 

If you haven't already replaced your parking lights with LEDs (and you want to), you might consider doing it while they are out.
Same with the signal/DRL bulbs.
I used these, but note I have VLED resistors installed for hyperflash of the turn signals.

Sparks Parts still the best (cheapest place) to get the headlights? Or is toyota of cool springs better?

 

I used Sparks. I don't think Cool Springs is open at the moment..

 

When I called this morning, they did answer and I was connected to parts....

 

EBAY is a fraction of the price if you're cool with used. That's what I did and they're in brand new condition other than a couple broken tabs which won't be an issue to remedy. Got 2 of them for less than what one costs from Sparks

 

I have a 2017 Platinum and want to make certain that I get the right part number.. I am not a fan of chrome, nor of the blacked out version. any suggestion of the correct part numbers I need?

I like those a lot. They look like they have the complete daytime running lights as well. I am excited to have the much brighter lights in my truck!!

 

Can you provide full-length pics of the lights? With lights on?

I would be happy to replace the turn signal lights, but I don't want crazy flashing or things that don't function as stock. What is a VLED resister and is it needed?

 

I received the driver side TRD Pro headlight today.. Not sure why because they were shipped by Sparks at the same time, but the other will be delivered tomorrow. I went ahead and installed the driver side bc I wanted to see how they looked. Looks way better!

Thanks to iHacker. The harness looks better than oem, in my opinion.. I went with the same setup as post #1022. I received the harness a day after he shipped it to me. It is basically plug and play and exactly for how I requested it.




Realized this evening that if I turn the light switch one click, it will turn on the LED light. Could be useful for someone that wants the LED drl, but doesn’t want to do all the wiring.

Quick question: I have gone through all the pages on this thread and I am about to place my order for my new headlights but want to know the difference between the TRD Pro headlight and the TRD Sport headlights. Does the Sport have a clear lens while the Pro has a smoked lens? They both have the wrap around LED DRL correct?

 

Lenses are clear for both options

Sport have smoked/black chrome inner finish and TRD PRO ones have glossy black interior


If you check the post #1 I posted some pictures of both options I owned the sports first and then purchased the PROs when came out

 

If you want a blacked out look I recommend you the TRD PRO ones

 

I placed my order today used the dundradude34 discount and it was already shipped out.... I also bought the console battery charger...

Ihacker already shipped out my wiring harness also!!

 

Got it all installed today. Worked out great. The wiring for the module under the dash was kinda a pain because I went with the constant amber drl and had to splice the grey wire. All in all as seemless as it could be

 

Excuse my multi colored grill surround, haha. All the chrome and the surround will be body color when I'm done, but thought I'd drop a pic of my new lights

 

Are the PARKING lights supposed to come on when you turn them or the head lights on? or do only the led drl turn on?

 

Parking lights come on when headlights are on? They dont on mine

 

Installed my lights this morning. They are so much nicer. My old one were really looking bad. The new ones make my 2015 look much newer. The harnesses are top quality!
