I have a 2016 TRD Pro w/ stock halogen headlights that have completely fogged over and look like complete garbage. I in no way have any wiring / electrical experience / training so I'm feeling a little intimidated to try this out. I'd like to ultimately get the 2019 LEDs w/ harness. I'd like to get some feedback from others who did this with my experience level pls thx

There is this option for people who are on your experience level at this moment in time

****2014-17 TRD PRO/SR5/LIMITED Non-Dimming LED DRLs (Bright mode all the time) $110 +shipping

Non-Dimming Harness (Bright DRL All The Time), This option is 100% Plug n Play no wires to splice or mess with, no firewall wire or any sort of wiring under dash besides the Amber DRL Delete (optional) but the LED DRL turns ON/OFF with ignition and stay at full brightness all the time (not like factory functionality which dims the LED DRL). To power the LED DRL in this option we go to use a fuse tap to replace the 10A IGN fuse in the hood fuses box. Price for this option is $110 +shipping.

This option is highly recommended if wiring projects are not your thing (better safe than sorry) or if youdefinitely need a quick PNP solution*****

The other solution isn’t too bad (the $130) option. Function is more OEM with dimming DRL when low beams activated. If you look at the Instructions multiple times and get familiar with it. Installation will go a little easier, but does require tap / splicing / or cutting depending for desired amber delete.

just choose you’re comfort level. At least there are options for people comfort level which is a plus.

Hello there, as @Taco-Spike mentioned there’s a fully plug and play harness option and you should be good to install the 2019 TRD PRO headlights in your 2016 PRO.

There’s a lot of people running this setup and never had any issues, the only thing is optional is if you decide to delete the Amber DRLs and for this case you have to go under dashboard and depin gray wire from flasher relay (Pin 5 J29 harness)

If you have more questions please let us know.

    Take care!

    To much to list:)
Nothing complicated about this at all. There are plenty of videos out there showing how to get the front end off and the rest is plug and play. It really is that easy, plus you being from the Austin area there probably should be someone out there that might lend you a hand if asked. Watch the videos a few times and everything goes very smoothly. Best of luck to you!:)

Exactly. It’s a straight-forward modification. iHacker’s harnesses are the best out there - far better than options from other vendors. Just tell him what you have and what you’re upgrading to and he will get you the correct harness. After that it’s just removing the old headlights, plugging the adapter harnesses in, and reassembling.

@iHacker Have you or would you consider building an 07-13 Tundra to 18-22 Sequoia LED Conversion Harness?

Hello sir for the moment I don’t have any plans for this, I think a guy here in the forum is already working in this specific mod and he offers a harness for sale.@xrunnerdude67

Not sure if he’s still working on it but you can Pm him

@iHacker Do you have any Non-Dimming Harness available right now? I'd like to order it if you do have it available.

Appreciate the feedback! I ended up finding some new 3rd party ones on FB Marketplace for only $60! At that price I decided to take a chance on them. Only thing is I can't figure out how to get the motor adjusters on to the new ones from the originals. Before and after pics...

Has anyone encountered random crank but no start issue that ended up being traced back to the add-a-fuse? I have an intermittent issue and when checking fuses/relays I found this add-a-fuse wobbly and got me thinking…

Hello, I haven’t heard from other members to have this issue but if you do lots of extreme off road that could be a possibility to have some issues with the fuse tap.

In this case I recommend to change the fuse tap with one of the mini ATM fuse tap, this have the long fuse blades and that could help to solve this little issue. Or the other option is using a different fuse slot for any of the ignition switched fuses so that way you keep your IGN fuse alone.

Thanks for the response. Do you happen to know an alternate slot that would work? Any key on circuit should work, right?

I'm new in this forum, actually in any forum, I'd like to get the harness from iHacker to replace my original 2019 SR5 Crewmax headlights with a pair of OEM TRD LED's i just bought. Can somebody direct me please on how to get that harness or if I should message iHacker directly and how to do that?
Thank you very much, looking forward to find cool things for my Tundra here.
