Is this what it's come to here? Tundras are so reliable and foolproof that this fella had to create an account to troll with? I get it, we could have more drama for sure, like the F150 forums or even Tacomaworld's Gen 3 section. So I guess mission accomplished, it's given us several pages of fun. And this particular gem that I quoted was my favorite part. What an adventure!

    Here's one for ya @joonbug .
I thought I would journal the rebuild of a 17 raptor I purchased as a total. The basics are, 2017 with 15k on the clock. No bags popped and everything seems to measure out fine so seems no frame damage. Purchased the truck for 41k. After hauling and buying what I believe is all the parts and paint I need I sunk another 3k in parts and will have the windshield replaced after I get everything back. I have rebuilt several lightly damaged cars in years past but never anything like the aluminum body.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

This guy reminds me of the guy with the JBL stereo guy that installed an amp by just connecting to the factory JBL HU and could never produce the info on how he did it..

Last weekend (9 June), my friend, Ex Toyota employee checked out my problem with the cruise control. Between my gauges is the cruise control set display and another display telling me exactly what the cruise control is set at. I read the manual and figured I did not have the option on my truck. I also did not have a outside temperature display either which I thought was weird. The new Tundras cruise controls are a little bit different at setting then all the older tundras. He found that the clip was partially clipped together (arms did not snap into place over the snap nipple). He also found another clip that was not clipped together. Needless to say, Toyota did not finish building this truck. I now have the cruise control on display, cruise control set display, outside thermometer, and the buttons under instrument cluster all light up now. Saturday at the local dealership, they discovered the flapping plastic bumper pieces had to be all replaced due to the clips not present and they could not just order the clips. The sagging bumper is going to be fixed at local body shop, and they are clueless about the stereo. As far as the dash, who knows. They are going to be looking at getting me better looking crapped up one if they can. I am skeptical about it thou.

Sort of, I'm still enjoying the mental image of a Tundra rounding a corner at 95mph and taking not 44, but 45 mailboxes.
