I just ordered a set from HR Headlight Revolution @Headlight Revolution site with the discount. Has anyone used this harness and knows if it will dim the DRL when the headlights are tunrene on?

Thank you again for the response. I realize these are stock Toyota assemblies and I'm not worried about the main low beam LED at all. My concern is simply the DRL being too bright, which isn't stock as it is supposed to dim when the headlights are on...

The one from Headlight Revolution does not dim the DRL. This is my dilemma. I can get the one from Headlight Revolution on sale right now for $80 after the 20% off sale or I can wait until iHacker receives more parts and builds more and pay $140, but have the factory dimming in the DRL when the headlights are on... I think I would prefer the iHacker one, but just not sure I want to spend an extra $60 and wait a few weeks...

Yes they are too bright at night for other drivers. Dim them like they are supposed be from the factory.

Well sounds like you have one of two choices the way I see it..

1- find a way to wire in a switch that will let you turn off the led drl at night and back on during the day

    or

2- order the 1794 harness, connect the headlamps and turn signal adaptors and leave the 3rd connection off for the led drl, tape it up so water stays out and run your lights like stock, amber drl and led headlights at night no led drl at all, which was the option I originally was going to take.

As for the led drl being to bright at night, its a matter of opinion and I respectfully think they are not to bright. I have had drivers flash lights at me when I had halogens and we all agree how crappy they are LOL.

That was my exact predicament the extra $60 and the wait for the harness. I would love to get one from iHacker but its just so happens he is out of stock/town and i have my new lights ordered thank with the black friday deals. I got one from HR and i hope i could get something later down the road from iHacker for the dimming options. Maybe an ad-on to the harness.

I went with the oem dimming harness from ihacker. My thought is Toyota dimmed them with the headlights on so I wanted it to be the way it was designed. I feel that if they are on bright all the time it’s just added wear and tear on them.

ihackr dimming harness for me worked perfect. Bright all the time would interfere with how well people see the turn signals I think.

I got the harness from HeadlightRev and they are on all the time. What would I need to make it dim? Can I make this mod by myself or would I need to buy another kind of added wire to the harness.
