I recently added the colored matched mirror caps and am happy with how it looks. I'll stick with this.

I think it looks good when the surrounding area is painted to match.

Decided to try out the new '18 honeycomb grille. Was initially unsure, however after seeing it on in person, I think it looks good.

So, in order to get the new grill you just went ahead and bought a 2018 Platinum?

Nah, I have a '17 Platinum and installed an '18 honeycomb grille to accompany the '18 LED headlights and fog lights.

Where you able to just purchase the grille insert separately?

No, the insert is not offered separately. I purchased the whole assembly color matched.

I like this new grill as it adds style and change to the late model Tundras. Allows easy changes for custom looks and flexibility of your trucks look. I like the TRD grill personally.

    Hope everyone's well. ☮⚠️

Has anyone replaced the surround on a 18 white limited with the body color one? Please share a picture if you have.

Nooope. It's not totally ugly, but I like the other one better.

So the only issue i have with mine is the grill blocking 50% of Light bar light from the bar mounted behind it due to the honeycomb design and solid sections.. has anyone else done this?

So we were in the market for a 2108 Tundra. Stopped by the dealership and saw what was offered for 2018. My wife wanted the Limited and liked the look of the Limited grill, but not all the chrome. Looked like a Dodge. She wanted the Limited but asked the dealer for a price to color key the front end, mirror caps, and swap out the chrome door handles. I suggested instead we look at other options. Yesterday I put a down payment on a 2018 Tundra SR5 Crewmax Sport in Magnetic Gray Metallic fully loaded. I pick it up next week. I think the honeycomb grille looks really good in this configuration.

    Thoughts?

The LED HL’s and honeycomb grille define it as a 2018. The Limited grille could be mistaken for an older Tundra. Color matched bumpers/surround in MGM looks boss, even the nonfunctional scoop is BA. Congrats and welcome!

I think the honeycomb grille is nice. I personally like the Platinum grille and just changed my chrome grille out with a color match magnetic grey with black insert Platinum from Sparks parts. I'm loving it, changed the look of the truck in a major way.

I like the honeycomb, but I really didn't like the look of the big 'ol logo on it.
    Problem Solved!!

I have the Honeycomb, and I like it. I just need to get rid of the stupid chrome and I'll be happy.

I like the honeycomb too. I would like to find a metallic black bulge n surround and just keep my limited grill if not I will swap to honeycomb or the 19 pro grill.
