I've also read recent articles about the return of the Bronco. Some claim the photo of the one in the link provided is a Bronco fan's rendering and that the real one may look more like the front end of their new F150s.

Anyway, I've always been a Bronco fan and even had an 86 and a 93 Bronco. It was a love/hate relationship, though, because although it was an awesome, fully capable, functional vehicle with a tight turning radius and short wheelbase that could easily haul the dog, kids and camping gear during off-road excursions, it was only that way when it wasn't broken down. I went through 3 transmissions, 2 transfer cases, constantly breaking a/c in the hot Texas summers and numerous starting problems with the 93 until my brother-in-law totaled it. It was also one of the most difficult vehicles to maintain and modify compared to my old jeep and older Toyotas, but I loved driving it and off-roading it. Despite its constant mechanical problems (which helped me gain some shade-tree mechanical skills), I really miss that beast and wish I still had it!

Anyway, I don't know if the new Bronco will have a removal top like the old ones, and I suspect they'll also cost a lot. But I'm glad they're bringing it back and hopefully it'll be as rugged and capable as the 78-96 ones - just more reliable and less prone to breaking down. The older, classical ones are cool, too, and there's been talk that maybe the new one may go back to that smaller size and be based off the new Ranger that's coming back - perhaps looking more akin to the one pictured in the link above.

That's cool. Always loved the older Broncos.

Toytec level and diff drop, Cooper STT Pro Tires, TRD Pro Grill, blacked out, debadged.
If the top doesn't come off then they can shine up the tires real nice and drive it off a cliff.

Also, that is a rendering by a fan on a forum, not an actual release by Ford.
